EVERYDAYJESUS loves to father me!

I AM A SON OF GOD!

My head swelled with a humbling pride at the realization that I am a son of God…forever. I always sail to cloud 9 each time I ponder on this reality. Oh! How the natural man will have a hard time understanding this, he may even think of me as pitifully ambitious but my bible tells me that it has always been God’s plans according to Ephesians 1:5 to adopt me into his beautiful family through what Christ did on the cross and this, this is not to fulfill any obligation, he didn’t owe me any…He just loved to father me…and it brings him pleasure when I acknowledge him as my father!

I am a son of God forever! Please save the correction Love, there is no gender differentiation. It is just an enviable position I occupy. Thank Jesus it has nothing to do with gender as it would have come with gender attached roles and limitations; like the girls will do the easier tasks such as speak in tongues, interpret, discern and show love while the boys will perform the herculean task such as casting out devils, exercising the mountain moving faith, raise the dead and so on. Thank God there are no two categories, I am a Son!

Oh how ignorant I have been of this reality! Without clear understanding I have religiously and shrilly answered ‘yeeeessssss’ to the chant: “sons and daughters of the living God!” Thank God I understand better now and it gets clearer every day.

1 John 3:1-2 states that we are sons of God as a result of the manner of Love God has bestowed upon us. It is a love indecipherable that made him choose of all things to father us.

God is our Father! He is my father! I can’t keep shut! Glory!

I can associate with the fact that most people derive some sort of recognition by saying who their father is, right? So don’t be surprised when next time we meet and I say “Good morning Love, God is my father!” It works right when you keep affirming this to yourself as often as possible. It will go right into the strong holds of your mind and pull down all of them inferiority laced thoughts that battles to exalt itself above the knowledge of the Father in your mind. The realization of this truth will save you the stress of many psychological quick fixes that are just so short-lived!

EVERYDAYJESUS’ ‘my Testimony’

It was disheartening to think

Why he would allow us sink

I used to wonder what kind of love this is

A love he professes as his

That he keeps blocking my ears with

I didn’t understand his seeming pretense

I felt he was always ready to sentence

Like a lamb whose will has been taken…or at least I thought I did

That kind of following you don’t understand but you seem to have no choice

“If you miss heaven, you can make hell”, then I would increase my pace

It was a heaven at last for me men!

I would go for revival meetings and come back hot and burning

But just give me a few days and I’m back steps behind where I started

I categorized myself as a struggling Christian whose end of struggles was not in sight

I found myself envying Christian that were doing well in the lord

Those that can put the world on hold and be separate

Those that can blast in tongues for hours at a stretch

Pray at midnight and even more in church

Give all their cash as seed, quote and misquote his deeds

I lost sight of my self

I inferred

This God…isn’t nice at all

He just wants to fiddle with me, roast me in hell and enjoy whatever savor there is

Yea, what would you have me say?

I wasn’t near the kind of perfection he wants

And it was all glaring that I couldn’t ever be

I guess we are familiar with statement that he doesn’t take less than 100 percent

Even 99.99 percent is totally unacceptable

Even if I were to be locked up in a tower without interaction,

Sin will still form my actions

Funny but I did it

I got up one day with a resolve to get this all through

So I said “God please forgive me all my sins, those done knowingly and unknowingly

Consciously and unconsciously…”

(Some of us may be familiar with the rhymes)

…and then, then I prayed to die so I could sneak into heaven but he didn’t take me

Probably he thinks that’s too nice a time

He’s waiting to catch me red handed on some evil and then gladly he will pounce on me

I even remember telling him that I will be glad to be left at the gate

I would be glad to stand at the gate and usher for all eternity

The mansions the bible talked about was too much luxury

My face wore gloom

‘Cause I was headed for doom

Have you ever had the experience of waiting for a punishment?

It’s even more punishment right?

That was how ‘waiting’ for the coming of Christ was

Even as a Christian, Jesus is coming soon was my worst statement ever

I dreaded it with every hair on my body

It reminded me of punishment and not home going

I was haunted so much so that when I hear a big trailer horn blast

I would think the big day has come

It was frustrating guys

My attendance began to drop in church

Yea, what was the need to keep in touch?

Brethren concluded and judged me

And I didn’t bloody care what they say about me

Now, here is the good news

While all this was happening

God was beside me devising

Now, not devising a way to save me…he already did that

But devising a way for me to see it and know how much he loves me

My eyes had been blinded by the devil

He made me see God as evil

While he is the hidden enemy that has been defeated by God for me

Think about it, did God need to defeat the devil to prove that he is supreme?

He is God all by himself and the devil is eternally under his shelf

He just defeated him in my place

So that I could enjoy my space

The truth is

God in his holiness and greatness could not be associated with iniquity

He cannot relax his laws because they are based upon his nature

But because he loves me,

He set a motion a beautiful plan to salvage our relationship when it denatured

I even found out that if everyone in the world was righteous and I be the only sinner

He would still die for me

Remember,

Amidst the casting crowns of the 24 elders

The singing and bowing down of the angels in their orders

He excuses himself from them every evening

To have fellowship with man

And please keep in mind that he didn’t need us for a living

He just made us to express a love that is constant with no changing

Even when man fell short of his standards by disobeying

He didn’t give up he had a plan in his sovereignty

He didn’t have to lower his standards…he has integrity

But consistent with his laws, Jesus had to die to bear the brunt for all that will believe

And he did it once and for all

I just have to believe and rest in this finished work and become one with him

God is helplessly in love with me-I discovered

And even my inconsistencies doesn’t change any of it

I have been brought into this place of highest privilege

My veil of ignorance has been removed by this knowledge

Now I have come to see God as a loving father

A father whose heart beats for me

Whose love I shall never fully comprehend in my little mind

My life just started

It started when I saw his love

From now onwards I look forward to becoming all that God wants me to be

I have learnt to see myself the way he sees me

And really how does he see me?

Blameless, guiltless, lovable, adorable, humorous, beautiful, perfect and even more

No guilt in life…I have been liberated

No fear in death… it has been defeated

I promise to keep sharing

More experiences of his love as I open my heart to receive them

And I pray that you experience more of this love for yourselves.

EVERYDAYJESUS’ Rest! (an Update)

In John 3:5, Jesus answered, “ I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit .( Please note that any time and every time the word SPIRIT begins with a capital letter then the Bible is simply talking of the Holy Spirit. On the other hand, if you see SPIRIT begin with a small letter, then what is been referred to is the human spirit or any other spirit. Different translators of the English Bible use capital letters to distinguish things pertaining to God- like ‘Word’ of God begins with a block letter while ‘word’ of man small letter).

Also in Hebrew 4: 9, the writer of the book wrote by the inspiration of the Spirit thus:

There remains then a Sabbath rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his work, just as God did from His. Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience (please read that book for yourself, I mean you have it don’t you?!)

Could God’s rest be His Kingdom or is His rest contained in His Kingdom?

Mutant Matthew wrote the exact Words of Jesus in his book: “but seek ye first The Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you. Matthew 6: 33. By ‘these things’ he was talking about the usual things that bother humans and other living things. And please what is even this whole righteousness thing ‘God’s righteousness’ all about? Do I have to continue trying my best so that God would approve of me? Let us take a peek into the Bible.

Romans 3: 10 “ There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God… so this means that my best or my righteousness isn’t good enough, in fact ‘some’ Scripture calls it ‘filthy rag’. Now from verse 21, “but now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believed. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus”

Also in Romans 5: 17: For if, by the trespass of the one man(Adam), death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the obedience of the one man(Jesus, second Adam) the many will be made righteous.

In mathematical terms, let us do some simple substitutions:

If The Kingdom of God =/ ≡ God’s rest/ Rest of God,

And

If Grace = God’s gift of righteousness

→ Matthew 6: 33 =

But seek ye first the rest of God and accept His Grace and all these things will be given to you

Also   =

“But the first thing you should do is to enter God’s rest and accept His grace which is simply by believing, then all those things that bothers an average human being would just come as a mere consequence”.

It is established that we enter God’s Kingdom or Rest by faith.

NB: the symbol ‘=’ means ‘equal to’, /, means ‘or’, ≡ means ‘equivalent to’, and → means ‘this implies that’.

 

Finally, Jesus called out in Matthew 11: 28 (MSG):

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me- watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythm of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill- fitting on you. Keep Company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly”.

Jesus promises a life free from the works and struggles of life and religion. However, the only work required from God is in John 6: 29:

Jesus answered “the work of God is this, to believe in the one He has sent” (NIV)

What an easy yoke, GLORY!

EVERYDAYJESUS tests every spirit!

Um, what do you usually see when you sit back with a bowl of popcorn or ice cream ( if you have the ice cream love genetic code in your DNA like me), to watch your favorite actor do his or her thing?

What do you usually see whenever you watch the news? Do you ever get to see something that nobody else ever gets to notice?

How about if you decide to do a little zee world with your mum, at least to make feel you care enough to enjoy what she enjoys? Do you finally enjoy it without feeling like you are seeing some wolf in sheep clothing?

Alright, what about ‘the now’ hit song? How about Nickelodeon, do you see the what I think I see when I watch even my own very favorite little man SpongeBob SquarePant, as innocent as the story is?

How about you decide to lock up yourself and live in the church so that you’d be ‘uncontaminated’ by the world? Do you ever notice something uncanny in some sermon that is making almost everyone else to scream, ‘well done sah’!

Do you ever get to notice how some of the things that your favorite people say, may not be true in the eternal scheme of things?

You know, I think that devil is way smarter than the homo-sapiens with the highest IQ. c’mon, man is made a little lower than angels but I thank God that a Theo- Sapiens would ‘dust’ him crazy any day, any time because he is a God!

The truth is that until Jesus comes, devil would remain the god of this world and he rules the world knowledge and information that look simple, harmless and 100% untrue! Lucifer can lie for Mandela, to say the very least!

Sometimes, things are not always what they seem. So, we Theo-sapiens must never allow to mingle with information from any source whatsoever, until they are well tested and proved. We do not take things hook line and sinker unless we have an inner witness by the Spirit. You know it is the Spirit that makes us superior to the devil and his world. We have power over him because we operate from a different system from his. You know how

I urge us therefore, to always remember that we are too superior to flow totally with the information that has saturated the world we live in! Screen please, literally!

EVERYDAYJESUS’ Mutation Story!

Mutation is a miracle

Mutation is simply any change or alteration in the DNA sequence of any living thing. Each DNA strand of any living thing is made up of genes that code for special characteristics in individuals.

The expression of this genes come in the form of proteins (polypeptides). Pour exemplum, I have characteristic brown eyes because I have a gene in my DNA that codes for the protein responsible for expressing itself as the brown eyes you can see.

Hence gene expression follows a central dogma that DNA makes mRNA which in turn makes protein (please leave out the concept of mRNA, I don’t want you confused). This basic principle is what we call the Central Dogma of molecular biology, which we employ and apply in Genetic Engineering.( This is a core field of Microbiology, so chill and trust me to walk you through a process of understanding a supernatural truth using natural principles- that is my area of discipline okay?)

Back to where we started from:

Mutation is any change or alteration in the DNA sequence of any living thing. Nevertheless, natural things are not very strong to explain supernatural things because our knowledge is always not complete, we know in part.

In genetic engineering, we have an area called Recombinant DNA technology (chill it is as simple as yawning okay?). Recombinant DNA technology involves splicing (cutting) and sticking a gene (segment of a DNA strand) into another totally different DNA strand. This is done so that the new DNA strand containing the foreign but desired gene would begin to express itself as a form of protein responsible for something like hazelnut colored hair, tallness, shortness, a shade of skin fairness etc. in technical terms (please chill), the most common example is the production of insulin by the bacteria Escherichia coli. Insulin is a hormone (protein) produced by humans but this DNA technology enables the genetic engineer to cut out (splice) the gene responsible for the hormone (protein), and stick it into the DNA of the E.coli. The essence of involving the bacteria in the whole engineering process is because E.coli can really produce (express the gene) in a large quantity so that they can be sold to those who need it but are insulin deficient. In this example the E. coli is the mutant and not the sick people.

Now let’s fix this whole jargon into something meaningful.

The Father wanted genetic expression (fruit bearing) that belonged to His nature, so He put His Gene (His Spirit) into our DNA (our human spirits) so that we may become His mutants, SOMETHING NEW (as mutant Niel would say). We are mutants by faith in His son. He carried out this DNA technology so that mutants can express His Gene naturally. I call it the mutant expression of the Spirit, the Gene of the Most High.

You can therefore now say that the fruit (expression) of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control….Galatians 5: 22

This expression or fruit is what you may call the protein coded for, by the Gene of God, i.e. the Spirit of God in the mutated human spirit.

Mutants got mutated by just believing and receiving the finished work. The ultimate idea behind this ultimate mutation story or the ultimate genetic engineering is because God wanted to create people (mutants) who would just be Jesus. He wanted to do a form of cloning.

“For those God foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many bothers”- Romans 8: 29(NIV)

Mutants are God’s dream come true- having family members with the family Gene. Mutant Paul also went further to tell the mutants in Ephesus in Ephesian 4: 24 that they were created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Jesus was the picture behind the mutation story. He is the first born among many mutants. Mutants are Gods and men all in one- this is a miracle!

Mutants are perfect Jesus clones expressing the Gene in many and diverse dimensions of the Spirit. Glory! Mutants belong to a family where Jesus is the first born, and we have the same daddy as Jesus. We are just as Jesus is. Mutants are the members of God’s family because He that makes holy and they that are made holy are of the same family. Mutants cannot sin because the gene that codes for sin has been removed and replaced with the Spirit Gene. Hebrew 8: 10-12

By the way, the Gene makes holy. Mutants are holy. Mutants are righteous, mutants dominate, mutants manifest. The ultimate mutation by the ultimate genetic engineer is the ultimate miracle! This is the ultimate mutation story.

EVERYDAYJESUS is how we roll!

Mutants are not miserly because their trust issues have been dealt with.

Mutants do very little, they have Faith.

Everything mutants do in the Kingdom is Faith- that is how we ‘roll’

Mutants speak Love- that is how we express ourselves.

Mutants are always at ease- it is a trust thing you know.

Mutants have all that they need- they receive them daily the mutant way.

Mutants DO nothing because everything has been DONE.

Mutants only have to carry their little bags Faith, about in the Kingdom.

Mutants carry their little bags by just expressing themselves through the mutant father-tongue, so you see why we are always at ease. Hmmm Cool!

The more mutants speak, the more they are transformed, transformed to be like Christ- this is the ultimate reason for the mutation!

Mutants never die, they have already died at the cross where Jesus died and rose when He did just by believing.

If the son of snake is a snake, then the son of God is a God- it’s simple ‘Mathegenetics’!

Mutants are sons of God because Jesus is Son of Man- ‘mathegenetically’ speaking!

Mutants like Jesus, are totally God, totally Man! He is our big brother the Bible says

Mutants are the supernatural beings that I call Theo-Sapiens.

Mutants cannot sin because the gene that codes for sin has been spliced off and replaced with Spirit Gene.

EVERYDAYJESUS’ ‘nomo’ phobias!

Since I was little, I had this strong phobia for both heights and depths. Jesus knows that unlike the woman at the well, He is not likely to find me at the well, because I would make every excuse that would excuse me from drawing from the well at my street in the Coal City let alone drawing from the well of living water- that is if well encounters or ‘being at the right place at the right time’ was a criterion for receiving the promised eternal Life.

Jesus knows too that I would never sing to ask Him to take me, and plant my feet on any higher grounds- that is if ‘ higher grounds’ were taken literally because I so cannot trade the comfort of the safe haven I have found on floors for any heights in this world- literally speaking, puhleez!

Recently, I saw myself running carefree to meet up with a deadline along a Ulysses huge overhead bridge at Abuja, with all the speeding vehicles underneath. So I was taken aback.

What had changed in me?

I realized that my phobia, (the fears behind my fears) were all gone. Then, I was not afraid of the heights but I was afraid of falling and crashing. I was not afraid of depths but I was simply afraid of falling and getting lost in the deep.

So what or who took away the fears behind my fears?

I’d say that only Love did.

I found Love and everything about me changed. The comfort and assurance in the love of my Father in Christ Jesus reassures me that He would never leave me by myself, therefore if I must crash or fall into any deep, then He would fall and crash with me. Thank God that God is safe. Besides, I know that He loves me much more than I love myself. The love of Christ changes us, and it has renewed my mind, and transformed me.

“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge -that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God”- Ephesians 4: 17b-19( NIV).

Because perfect love casts out all fears- including the fears behind the fears.

EVERYDAYJESUS’ Omnipotent-Save- the Day!

One of the things I hate is someone forcing me to change plans for no good reasons.

I don’t like it when I am midway making egusi soup, someone would start saying things that sound like Akamu, or Afang; or maybe when I go ‘akamu’ because we had decided upon it together, then the same person starts speaking of me going ‘okpa’. I know that okpa and akamu are so good together but I hope you just get my drift.

You know one of the things that Father taught me using my Mamy, is to always make room for any sudden change in plans, because she’d always make that happen whether we both like it or not.

Have you ever thought of the implications of this Name of God, Omnipotent?

For me, I’d say that Father cannot only do all things, but He also has infinite ways of doing the same thing.

So how has this become helpful to me?

You know, when you make mistakes and screw up, you really see how Father can turn your mistakes around. He does that so that He can still achieve an elegant end of the story for you in such a way that you might even start thinking that Father intended originally that things go wrong for ‘His Glory’.

Truth is, Father does not do evil, and He would never do it in order to bring any good out of it. Father would never orchestrate or pioneer any bad thing, and He would never partner with the ‘family enemy’ to bring about any of those, NEVER! Father does not like it even when we make mistakes and change His plans for us but the better truth is that Father is never afraid of handling the worst terrible situations, you know why?

He is Omnipotent-Save-the Day! He knows just how to change plans in a snazzy, elegant and effective fashion!

Therefore, when people around me are busy changing the order of my ‘to do list’ and messing up with my plans like it’s their rights, I’d refuse to freak out like one impossible Zuma rock that never bulges.

I’ve learned to smile in Love, breathe for someone ( I mean, take a deep breath), roll up my sleeves, and show the situation how much I am made of the same stuff as my Abba Daddy, the Omnipotent-Save-the Day Himself! (Winks).

Consider it pure joy my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

…blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him. When tempted, no one should say “God is tempting me”. For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt any one…

Don’t be deceived, my brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows (aka, he does not have mood swings). He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created.- James 1 : 1-18 (NIV).
