Forgotten Dream; the poem

If we do not chase our dreams, what is the point in having them?

If we will be held back by the ones we so love
If we will continue to let down the ones we trust
What is the point?
My sacrifices, my time, my deeds my works
My rags filthy…
Who cares?
Is there really any need to keep on?
Does this one life really matter?
Whose life have I touched?
When I give in to greed and lust…
Held tight in the grips of sin and pride
Magnifying myself yet dying inside
Proclaiming myself a matyr
Claiming what goes on doen’t matter
Yes I don’t seem to care
And that’s my secret weapon
My self appointed sheild of armour
Treating faith like it’s a long lost honour
Why do I still dream??
Plagued by visions of happy faces
Smiles in many places
They haunt me so
They speak of a life I do not yet know
One that I can only hope to attain
One that doesn’t seem so vain
One of love, fearing no disdain
For this day yet again, I dream
I dream a nightmare so sweet I’m so afraid
Afraid to leap
Leap in faith
Let go of my doubts and trust in the one beyond the clouds
What is the point of having dreams, if we can never live it out?
Here comes the curve ball
Who says I can’t?
No really who says I can’t?
Are they God?
Scratch that…Am I God?
What right do I have to decree what He has not said concerning me?
To speak against His good pleasing and perfect will towards me
The preparation of the saints He would call it
The fire furnace that holds no malice
The crucible before I hold the chalice
I must therefore stay in the fight
I must not give up my dreams He says
No matter how hard
No matter how hard
Through the tears, through the disappointments
I will give you rest
I will give you joy, peace, love beyond any regret
What is the point of having dreams you ask beloved?
To stand and watch as I craft the picture I have painted…

Swamps.

These swamps have sucked us in,

Our fearful gasps and defeated cries they have savoured.

These swamps have seen us sink, deep into the murky waters of our mistakes.

These swamps have watched us struggle, frantically clutching at thistles and thorns, trying to hold on to what only destroys.

These swamps have watched us rise, out of the ashes, Strength stretched forth a saving hand to pull us up to marvelous light.

These swamps have thrown us up! Unable to belly our deliverd souls thriving.

These swamps can’t hold us now, the finished work of Christ has made them solid ground.

These swamps are lies that pass, we stand upon the Rock and pull our brethren out.

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”. John 16:33

WHAT IS THE CHURCH?

Sunday service sin…

Mid-week service not sin…
Chatting in church sin (even if I’m preaching to someone)

Watching TV in church not sin (if we are watching Passion of the Christ)
Do not play in church

We are here for business

Unless it’s Drama Unit

Or choir leader singing ‘I feel like jumping’„
Then we say, let’s worship the Lord

Concentrate

Focus your mind

Let your heart be placed on Him

…All these so that we can give a ‘worthy worship’

How do we judge its worth??
Back to the point; What is ‘church’?
Paul said this in Colossians 1:18 ( NLT)
“Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead.”

So he is first in everything
Body of Christ=Church.
You have to say that so much to yourself until it sticks to every part of you.
Coming together as believers is for our own good, but we are ‘church’ as we are!
In Paul’s journey as he went from place to place preaching, from prisons to beating, how many Sunday services did he attend? Get your mind established on Grace.
So why then do we gather?
Ephesians 4 NLT

Verse 11:  Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
Where you see church, put HIS BODY.

Now, the scripture above explains why the gifts were given.
Verse 12: Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.
Building up the body is not building big buildings and good instruments if you carefully look at the above scripture.
When you catch the people in that gathering outside and ask them questions about their faith, what would their answer be?
How equipped are the people??
The strength of a church (denomination) is not in amount of people, or equipment, but in how equipped the individual members are.
Verse 13: This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
That is what the church should cause ‘UNITY IN FAITH’ and not difference in doctrines!
And it says there ‘measuring up to the full standard of Christ’

How do we measure up??
Verse 14: Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.
Verse 15:  Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.

Speak the truth in Love, not tossed by every wind of doctrine and acclaimed rhema.
Let’s just stay one place and put our hearts to learning.
This is what a church (denomination) should be set to achieve.
Now,

Is your church achieving that? Or are we still playing Sunday?

Where believers who have been saved 20years still wait for visitation and pampering from pastor and then no one can even explain how God is ‘Trinity’ yet we go to church on Sunday and ‘not ping’?
At times, I tend to keep quiet because I don’t know how else to tell a catholic that Mary is just a disciple and that she isn’t a virgin. How can someone give birth and be a virgin? ‘Blessed virgin Mary’.
They always get angry.

It’s okay.
I would weigh between my Love in helping people see the truth with my love in not offending them and then decide how exactly I can walk in love.
Colossians 1:27 (NLT)

Verse 27: For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.
Our Focus is that Christ in you is the HOPE of Glory as KJV renders it.
Anything that is received in ‘HOPE’ speaks of a glory that is to come and is not yet. In Ephesians Paul used the same words;
Ephesians 1 (NLT)

Verse 13:  And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago.
Verse 14: The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.
The Spirit is a Guarantee of a PROMISE.
Also in Romans 8, clearly written

(NLT)
18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.
19 For all creation are waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are.

20 Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, 21 the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay.

22 For we know that all creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.

23 And we believers also groan, even though we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, for we long for our bodies to be released from sin and suffering. We, too, wait with eager hope for the day when God will give us our full rights as his adopted children, including the new bodies he has promised us. 24 We were given this hope when we were saved.

25 (If we already have something, we don’t need to hope for it but if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)

So in these places, Paul spoke of a future Glory that is a sure inheritance for those who have CHRIST IN THEM (believers that have received the Spirit)

How do we have Christ in us?

The Holy Spirit of Christ
Romans 8 answers

(NLT)
9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. AND REMEMBER THAT THOSE WHO DO NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST LIVING IN THEM DO NOT BELONG TO HIM AT ALL.)

10 AND CHRIST LIVES WITHIN YOU, SO EVEN THOUGH YOUR BODY WILL DIE BECAUSE OF SIN, THE SPIRIT GIVES YOU LIFE BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN MADE RIGHT WITH GOD.
Notice the last part of verse 9

“And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.”
So the bible teaches that if one has believed in Christ, they have received the Spirit and they are SURE to partake of a Glory in the future.

Now Paul spoke of that Glory in his second letter to the Corinthians chapter 5
And that is where he makes the statement that we live by FAITH and not by SIGHT.

We have faith that God is able to raise us together with Christ, read through.
(NLT)

1 For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.

2 We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing.

3 For we will put on heavenly bodies; we will not be spirits without bodies.

4 While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life.

5 God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit.

6 So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord.

7 For we live by believing and not by seeing.
I have Christ in me

I have an assured inheritance

I taste of His Glory now

I would have an incorruptible inheritance in the future
Thank God for Jesus

Stay blessed.

Title Number 2

Your plans are altogether awesome

Your ways are wise and better than mine

The earth is His footstool and people are His body

but we wait calmly when surrounded by the enemy

For we are as gold refined in the fire seven times

I will forgive my brother seven times seventy times     Shalom

And bless my enemy more

God is my rock and it is through Him

That I have my deliverence

EVERYDAYJESUS’ ‘Other man’s dream?’ (A poem)!

What do you want for you?

Casting off this burden

Chasing the cheapest dream

Yet expecting to meander amidst the richest valleys

All seems vanity

Like it’s a mere desire

So the state of many

What if then I ask that

What do you want for you?

Will the answer solve the wave within?

Or just a common man’s answer?

Severally, it feels like saying am done

When the odds refuses to say ‘I’m gone’

Like a corn, all just fade in solely state

All for a taste, a chase that brings little

Why then living another man’s dream?

Why pretending as if your action is justifiable

When all you are doing is barely for the crowd

As a crow, the cloud of greatness initiates less

What if then I ask

What do you want for you?

Bones are fading

Days nearing to apocalypse

So the eclipse of doubt expands

Thought fails

War is yet raised

In division, so is the mission

What if I get a lamed answer?

What if you are tamed?

Why won’t you then find an answer to this question!

What do you want for yourself?

Wish and dream?

Vision and action?

Will you get an answer to this, poets?

EVERYDAYJESUS is skin-deeper with me! (A poem)

He is with me

When shame covers me until I am choking

When it leaves me feeling like trash

When contempt cuts through my heart

Such that I am bleeding to death

He is with me

He is with me

When I suffer prejudice

When bias makes me question my own good intentions

When the words of my love vocabulary appears to fail me

When I am sorely misunderstood

That I even fail to understand myself

He is with me

He is with me

When ‘neglect’ is just not good enough to say how I feel

When I feel as though I am an ‘after-thought’

When I feel rejection and humiliation

Such that I have a perfect blend of a distasteful ‘emoconcotions’

When the sharp sourness of this emoconcotions cuts through my pride

Sharper than a diamond sword

Until pain makes me weak and speechless

That I fail to rise above the lethargy within

He remains just there with me

He is with me

When human words fails my heart expressions

When I know just a few words to tell exactly how I feel

He groans within me with words deeper than words

Because He forever remains with and in me

He is with me

When pain dries the fountain of my tears

Such that my greatest need becomes to weep

So that my pains might be washed away

I know He is yet with me

He is with me

When I feel lonely and all alone

When I feel as though I have just ‘me’

When ‘me’ is not sure if she should remain with me

He will never fail me

Because He is right there with me

He is with me

Even when I am wrong

When I am unmerciful and finger-pointing

When I stray from the love lane

Such that I feel as though I have failed

His love will never fail

Because He loves to be right with me

He is with me

When the seeming cold hands of death come for me

When I know that my time has come I warm up in child-like excitement

For I know that death has lost its sting on me

So I need not fret or fear

Because He will as always wrap me in His love consuming

Such that my heart quakes and my spirit blushes

In earnest expectation for my great hibernation

Which ushers me to the redeeming consummation

Away from this fallen home that I live in

To that incorruptible home, the kind that Man Jesus lives in

That body which has no limitations and barrier

I know my rejoicing would know no bound

For again He will be with me

He is with you

Even when guilt seems to be blinding your sight

When you are clueless and running away in blind shame

Such that you appear to have fallen into the strong arms of the enemy

Just quit your packing to the ‘no home’ place

You see, He never gives a quit notice

Because even if you still choose to leave

He just can never ever leave you

Jesus will ever be with you through the thick and the thin

He is that friend who sticks closer than a kin

Because He is indeed closer and deeper than your skin

And it definitely will not depend on what you feel or think

He will never leave you or abandon you

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? …No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord – Romans 8: 35-39 (NIV)

EVERYDAYJESUS’ ‘Do not kill nature’! (A poem)

NATURE, gives inspiration right?

But then, walking her down on the street of extinction

Humanity! Where is this distinction?

Maybe only and folly as a reward in school

When this shoe called nature

Is neglected, and rejected

Can you hear her pleading?

Bleeding as if guilty

‘Save my body’, my part (human)

For when it’s all gone

What else left other than mourn.

DO NOT, cease from your call

We are wise ones, not bias ones

Blimey! She is dying

Sharing a wretched man’s fate

Hope won’t be too late

To amend this rate…
