A good time as any…

Permit me to sound like an old man for a bit…

Young-uns where y’all at!
This is for you

I don’t know about you but I find myself wondering when I see my fellow youths and teenagers doing absolutely nothing as compared to who they could be and what they could be doing. I wonder why we claim YOLO all over the place yet we pack all our mistakes into our youthful days and leave the big stuff for later. Whoever has lied to my generation!

I too believe that all we truly have is the present (no puns intended), I too believe we should live our youthful days to their full but I am also conscious of what content they are filled with.

I mean, why can I not start making big decisions now, why can’t I start making impact now? Whoever said I cannot be wise while the hair on my head have not yet fallen grey? Whatever is stopping me from investing in my future, from planting my feet in the sands of time now? Like, would it really hurt if I decided to start being responsible now?

Why wait?

Seriously it is a mind boggling question!

Do you have a dream, go out there and achieve it. If you are not constructively doing something about that dream now, trust me, whatever stands in your way now, would still be there in the next 10 years, so why not give your fears a serious beating down, now that you have got all that youthful strength and vibe in your bones.

Make big decisions! Now! Don’t wait till you have a past of scars and regrets so that you can say I have been there. Trust me it ain’t worth it. If we all had to make the same mistakes, technology would never have seen the light of day. We learn from the mistakes of others and when we fault from ours as well.

Guys, we have so much to offer the world, so much potential so much light… and what it is even more epic is when we step out of our comfort zones there is space for us all in the sky to shine as stars.

Yes it will take a lot of work
Yes it will mean missing out on some fun
Yes it will not be comfortable
Yes it will hurt real bad sometimes
Yes we will still make mistakes no matter how hard we try
Yes life and those we love will sometimes not be on our side

But if we are truly the greatest generation to have come along, then lets live up to it and be awesome. It has always been in us

DO IT NOW
BE AWESOME NOW

Tag a friend, share with the world and please be awesome

Now!

Everyday Jesus – Sunday (A poem)

Hello sunday
So soon
Here you are again
You evade our hearts
With some kind of feeling
“Go to church”

Blimey, sunday
A little observation
Men! Yes human beings
Most of them aren’t sincere
Whenever they see you
They adjust, and re-adjust to be called the just.
We are pretenders, offenders
We carry the bible on your evasion
Just to claim timed salvation
Poor decision, poor innovation

Listen sunday
There is a lot going on
Disgusting things.
On sunday, is when my fellas will carry their bible to read
Or even loud their stereo, listening to christian songs
Or even raise their voices, singing to be noticed.
O sunday, what have you brought on us?

Sunday, maybe I am the one getting this tough, so rough
Maybe it is not your fault
It is a default thing
Men invented it
We allowed the busy scene of life to get us carried away
Or you caused it?
Nooooo, not you
Nooooo, Not us
Ooooooooooooohhh!
I think it’s us
We are lazy
Lazy to face the facts
Enemies of ourselves
We are always carried away
Away, like a sheep.

Sunday, maybe it is not us
Maybe it is us…
Sunday, it is us…

EverydayJesus – The Mirror

The Bible does not help to point out to us our faults and imperfections so that we may correct or change them, contrary to what many people believe.

The Bible (mirror) on the contrary, helps us to constantly see ourselves for who our Father God sees us. He see us perfect people in Christ, without blame and Spirit born, a.k.a eternally made of Love!

The Mirror is therefore our constant reminder of our realities in Christ so that we can be quickened in our mortal bodies to act accordingly.

Our spirits are whole, complete and mature in Christ but our minds would never agree because they know very little.

We are ourselves spirits, because man is essentially a spirit.

If I choose to call our spirits lions, then I would simply say that our minds are kittens, not even a cub.

What we know in our minds usually influence our works or doings, and most times, our minds make us produce kitten( lower) behaviors as opposed to the lion (higher) works that belong with our spirits, our hearts.

Therefore, whenever we look into the word, we force our kitten minds to see the lion spirits we truly are. This makes us to act accordingly. The mirror principle works by helping us to constantly keep in touch with our most basic realities in the presence of the Father’s redeeming love.

You might ask why our minds love to be kittens. I’d just tell you that our mind is the faculty in our hearts that relates directly with the physical or natural realms via the portals of the five senses. That’s why.

The thing is, if your acts are wrong and you feel like you are not a fruitful Christian, here is what you would want to do:

  1. Go Receive the Father’s Loving-thing parcel, a.k.a the too good to be true news, the Gospel.
  2. Look in the word, the mirror; I repeat look in the mirror.
  3. Look in the mirror again for that’s the true legit thing you’ve got, I repeat, look away from yourself!

18 And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:18. AMP

…Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and , after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like…

James 1: 23-24, NIV

TWS- JUST SHUT UP!

You know what? I am tired of hearing how impoverished your background is. I am getting irritated of your excuses and reasons for not attempting that feat. You do not have all that is required, so bloody what? I am telling you this because your dumb excuses are beginning to irritate me. I am sick and tired of them. Would you just shut up?!

The next thing you will tell me now is that you did not finish school and the one you even went to was a community school in your village or you lost your dad when you were tender.  Who told you that your dad has to be there before you amount to anything? Oh now, you want to blame him for your inability to stand up and grab the opportunities that has come your way so far? My friend, just shut up!

Let me let you in on some realities that your deluded and lazy mind has failed to see.

I want to tell you about Ben Carson. Oh, if you do not know that story go to the nearest bookshop and buy GIFTED HANDS by Ben Carson. At age 8, he was a victim of a disjointed family. His parents were divorced and he, with his brother, had to be brought up by his mother alone. Wasn’t that enough excuse to become irrelevant in life? That is not even as bad as what became of him in his early school days. He dropped to the bottom of the class and became an object of ridicule. With his mother’s help, he activated his imaginative power. He became determined to change the narrative. Long story short, he did not allow himself to be drowned in excuses. He did something to ensure he amounted to something.

You see why your excuses are making me nauseous? Stop telling me why you cannot and start making bold steps to utilize the world of opportunities that are coming your way. Being disadvantaged is a state of mind and you need to snap out of it. Stop giving me excuses, I no longer want to hear them. DO SOMETHING!

Excuses are tools of the incompetent used to build monuments to nothing. For those who specialize in them shall never be good at anything else
