This is a letter.

Written in replacement,
Yet original and single.
I had lost a light,
A crown born from trouble.

One day I ask myself if it really is true when it is said, ‘opportunity knocks but once’? Is it truly so that throughout our few years on earth, God is planning, for a few moments?

I thought of how I got saved by one man’s obedience, how I ignored that same sacrifice and yet as I jerked and backslid forward into the Democratic Republic of Damnation, screaming ‘it’s my life’ to the one who gave me life… His mercies still renewed every morning.

I am not the me I used to be and I am no me without him. So it would make sense that I live an eternal servant of the King who saved me from stabbing myself to death from the broken pieces of my heart…

WWF – UPGRADING YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF GOD

My heart has seriously been inditing a good matter. The word relationship with God has been coming to my heart. I saw the story of Enoch again in Genesis, and I remembered how as a teenager I’ve clamored to walk with God like Enoch did. There’s a song in my language that is composed in that line: Let me walk with You (referring to God) as worthy and acceptable… I used to sing this song from a very sincere heart then, though I didn’t understand the Word of God then as I do now.

God’s Spirit has been making me see that many in our generation don’t know so much of having a relationship with God. It’s been religion all the way with them. We yell at God always in prayer. We do unbecoming things with God, ‘cos we don’t understand being in a relationship with God.

Let’s try to understand the concept of relationship on human to human level, then we will enjoy God better. In a true relationship, no one is trying to please another per se, all because we felt pleased with each other that’s why we come together in the said relationship. Amos 3:3 says, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” This means, except they are pleased with each other they will not even think of walking together to begin with. As a guy, a lady is pleasing to me then I approach her to ask her out. If I am also pleasing to her, she accepts my proposal and then the journey of a life of bliss begins, by each just being themselves and absolutely plain. There will be ups and downs for sure, but because of the mutual understanding between us we will surely walk through it together in victory always.

This is exactly the story with us and God. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son; that whosoever believed in Him should not perish, but have eternal life, John 3:16. God fell in love with us. He was pleased with us, even with our dirty living and our sinful nature. He walked up to us to tell us of His love for us. Of how He would like to spend His whole life with us. We were like, “Hmm, how on earth would You consider me with all my messes?” But He did anyways and said “It’s no trouble. I’m okay with you. I’m okay with that”. After so much persuasion from Him, we finally gave in, ‘cos we were pleased with His poetic words, and the firmness and sincerity of the tone of His voice.

Now why are we beginning to think we need to be doing lots of things to get His attention? Wait a minute, who is getting whose attention here? Perhaps, we have lost the sense of our relationship with Him. We yell at Him to get things from Him. We are never simple with Him. We shout and scream in prayer until we lose our voice many a time. Sometimes we talk to Him as if talking to an enemy. Can you imagine a wife screaming at her husband to get His attention at home every time? People around will surely know that something must be wrong with their relationship. Actually, we may need yelling once in a while, because we feel Him far from us, and maybe because we are in a deep trouble but what we do after that counts. Jesus Christ also yelled at Him on the cross, ‘cos He felt like God had rejected Him but He finally said, Into Your hands I commend My Spirit. That’s a word borne out of a sincere and deep sense of relationship. Such words always reflects an absolute trust.

My brethren, if we have sincerely and from our heart accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, then we should know that our Father God is pleased with us. We smell good unto God. 2Cor. 2:16 says, “For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ…’ I pray God help us with a kind of relationship with Him according to His heart for us. Amen.

Four walls, darkness I’m in a room

Camera, lights, action! I’m on cue

Me, I am the real you

Though I may never be captured by these physical sight apertures I am the true you

Funny they say seeing is believing cos there is no question to it

I do exist and three can testify to this God Devil and you yes you

I am the black spot no extra-terrestrial entity can reach

I am the second most important being next to your spirit

I am your decision sector your emotional dictator

I am the reason why you feel the way you feel

I am an obsessive information collector

I am the secret to your intellectual competence

I am your soul or better put I am your mind and these four walls here, is my home

The darkness? Oh boy I love it

cos in it there are no limits to what I can do

You see the darkness it feeds my strength to create fantasies vast as seas

An unending world of lust my Monalisa masterpiece LOL!

Thing is I’m never satisfied and the possibilities just remain endless

Yes I am caged the reality sinks in but it doesn’t matter it was always meant to be or so I think

My blinded sight shades the reality to a beautiful grey so all I need do is forget

Forget I have no clue where I’m sailing to

Forget I have responsibilities to attend to

Forget I only live for the next minute

o matter it’s the civilized way, life on the fast lane

I just try to forget that soon you will die, your spirit will return to its maker

but I will have to find home on one side of eternity

Problem is I don’t think I’d qualify for the heavenlies

Forget I should Forget I would but the fact that I ignore the truth does not mean it ceases to be true

My feigned ignorance was the facade that shielded me up until the light came to me…

As we three listened to the preacher preach

I could sense a lot of activity a new thing was occurring

It seemed as if our old friend, your spirit was rebirthing

And somewhere in this dark enclosement a light was finally shining wow!

As the words flowed from me to your lips

We all surrendered to HIM who was and is and will forever be

We gave him total control and you know its so amazing

cos as you feed me with the knowledge of His word I am changing

Maybe not as fast as did your spirit but as the light gains more in

I am renewed not rebirthed I said renewed and though I’m just within you,

This is the miracle that transforms you.

So you want to be successful, I see all the plans you’ve made

All the strategies you wish to undertake

Don’t be surprised I know these, you conceived them in me

I understand you do this because one who fails to plan plans to fail

But why do you not plan to renew me daily?

Does not the word proclaim that new wine in old skin would cause a spill

Why do you plan without me?

Don’t you realize it all starts with me and now that you let the light in there are truly no limits to heights we can reach?

Listen, the success you seek has always been within.

So do this,

Be ye transformed by the renewal of your mind that’s me

Start thinking successful and what’s more start speaking successful

Stop dreaming and start proclaiming,

I have no better yesterdays,

I’m excelling exceeding abundantly far above kings and queens shall come to the brightness of my rising light

I am surnamed of the Lord so I am infinitely successful, I am globally impactful, I am eternally, divinely, explosively full of wisdom so I am no novice

I am born again, Holy spirit filled, tongue speaking the things that be not as though they were and so I proclaim

One day I am going to look back to see a myriad of right decisions

One day I’ll be so wealthy my trophy case full of testimonies

One day I’d tell others how God brought me to a point I can say I have run my course and finished my race I have used up all He put in me till all that is left is a thankful sigh

One day it will be today and my dreams will materialize before my very eyes

cos once my dreams towered before me Mountain Everest but I today proclaim my victory Zerubbabel.

Let these words shape the minutes, hours, days before you

And I assure you, once they get settled in me you have got the victory

For blessed is he that believeth haven not seen yet.

Let your future in and with your words shape it

Subject to His will let faith flow from me to form your reality

And yes once again please know this,

All you will ever be will of a necessity start with me

For at the end what matters most is what you believe.

I may not understand the bible you see
Yes it may seem so difficult to me
With all the thou(s) and thee(s) KJV please
The message seems to elude me
But this one thing I’ve come to see
That on a day such as this
A man died for my sins
Though not guilty he died still
He shed his blood to make me clean
Yes I know that and believe

I may not get why He died on the cross
Why He would give His life and His all
To love man that had Him slandered and slain
I don’t get why He would leave His highly exalted throne
To attend unto a generation of sinners than saints
I know I could never bear such rejection
Nor could I take as much pain
I would never figure out the extent of His sacrifice
But this one thing I’m sure I know
It’s that one big sacrifice that made me whole

I may not figure out the words
Or the depths of mysteries it holds
I may not memorize every chapter whole
But this one thing I’ve come to know
There is one Holy and True
The MOST HIGH GOD so faithful
Who unconditionally cares and loves
Ever renewing mercy he shows
And mending grace he bestows
On children to whom He’s Savior and Lord

I know they don’t really get it
The reason why I strongly believe
In a story so old in a blood they don’t see
You see, the truth is this
I don’t really expect them to
Cos I never got it too
Till I met at a point in my life
The man that changed my story line
He in fact was HE who died for loves sake
And now stands the only way, truth and life

Okay you might wonder like I’d always do
What then can end this whole matter?
Simple! Fear God, do all that He says
That’s the conclusion of the whole matter
Well you may think it can’t be
It can’t be that easy, as plain as you say
But the truth remains
The Lord knoweth them that are His
Let everyone who is called after Him

HIS (perfect) WILL

Our father(check)
Who art in heaven(check)
Hallowed be thy name(check)
Thy kingdom come(check)….
Thy will be done, or my will will simply suffice?….
I believe we have all prayed this prayer saying its our Lord’s but in reality its just us trying to fulfill all righteousness! I heard that every Christian was once unrighteous and is redeemed by a God whose name is highly esteemed above every other, making every Christian His righteousness, meaning He already fulfilled all righteousness, so a Christian can also be called His righteousness! Now if righteousness is a way of life, then our whole ways in life should be directed by the one who fulfilled all righteousness in the first place.
Yeah you can get it freely and as priceless as the word GRACE. But no; we shunt the perfect will of a perfect God that not only created us but also re-instated us when we willingly sold out and went dark side,spinning and getting stuck in webs like spiddy, not to mention the amount of times He re-sainted us after we all fell, well I DID!!!
I see you get angry and deeply frustrated when your cell phone hangs, malfunctions or goes off and then comes back on in the middle of an important operation, but you didn’t create it. God created man with a perfect plan but most times you hang in your depression, malfunction in your emotions and even go off and on deliberately with proper excuses,..for days, months and weekly in your walking with Him, so much that it almost looks as though you are trying to see what He would do when you say
“..well d situation was merely too tempting”
. I never really understood it when the Spirit said that Love suffereth long, till i got to understand that God is LOVE. Cos unlike how I get so angry that I curse at and replace an annoying cell phone purchased with cash, He still blesses and keeps this imperfect me bought and washed by d blood of the lamb.
His will being done on earth, like judgement would start from d church, stop thinking about the building its actually you and I who left but was given a secret number JESUS just to keep in touch, so if He does His will in you and in me, then d world would be automatically transformed, but how is that gonna be?..when i have my set goals and lists of selfish prayers….; God bless me, my friends, my families,…seriously, how many times did you ever hear Christ pray that?..
Let your Kingdom come on earth, should be our major prayer, see. When u seek His kingdom 1st, every other thing shall be added unto u. We fall in a generation where we don’t like the world but they are the first to hear of our problems,call it social media/”ME-THERE”, forgetting we have a father who rules in d heavenly, who not only wants to hear about what we are going through but also has the resources to solve them. Really I’m short of words to say this; how ma heart is but, the master planner didn’t just create a planner like you without a plan, so next time you are saying the Lord a prayer, don’t be the reason His expectations have not reached the sons of men!

And people, if you don’t know where to start or a bit scared what His will is, I would advice you look in the bible.

Automatically darkness gives way to daylight

Our mini-skirts and shorts give way to church hats and ties

Smoky eyes and red lips give way to ‘just as thou art’ makeup style

Words full of grace have to play cos vulgar words or lies don’t sound right.

Tequilas and red wine give way to Holy Communion and rites

Pornographic materials give way to huge bibles and pads to write

Clubs and parties give way to solemn gatherings and messages of Christ
