#CHOSEN 07: DEALING WITH FAMILY LIMITATION

I said this in the last episode and I will say it again; one of the most difficult things that a man that has a mandate from God deals with is family. I am not saying that it always happens, but most often than not, it does. What I want to share today are result oriented steps you can take. Above all, trust the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you.

  1. ADDRESS THEIR CONCERNS:
    Rebellion is never an option when your family is trying to stop you from following your God-given dream. You don’t want to worsen the situation. You have to try and reason with them and understand their point of view. Know where they are coming from and where they are headed. The truth is they play very vital role in making your dreams come to reality. In the course of dialoguing with them, you will know how to convince them to allow you follow your dream. Remember, do not do it with your own strength, carry God along.

  2. START SOMETHING: Most people have families that are difficult to convince, but that is not meant to stop you or put you at a standstill. You need to start taking constructive and result oriented steps towards achieving your dream. Your family may need to start seeing your input towards your dream for them to know how convinced and serious you are about it. That might be the thing that will convince them to let you pursue your dream.

  3. BREAK OUT:
    If after you have dialogued and shown some seriousness in the way of actions, and the limitation is still there, then the only option is to break the limitation. You cannot afford to live a life that is unfulfilled. In the end, you don’t have anyone to blame if your dream becomes unfulfilled. If you notice, the steps are in chronological order, this should be a last resort. By this time, you must have gotten enough to fine tune the path to the fulfilment of your dream.

Let me end by saying that the only guarantee you have for the fulfilment of your dream is God. He is the one who chose you and gave you those dreams. I am so excited about you because you have been chosen of God to accomplish something great in your lifetime. My prayer is that God will help you to bring that God-given dream to reality.

Do you feel burdened by the amount of work or projects you have to carry out? Do you feel like a failure becos if you look around you, there are so so many abandoned projects jeering at you? Or are you so so confident that you can do the one you’re working on to perfection but you don’t know what the future holds? Its time to stop , look and listen…………. God says “trust in the lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your path…proverbs 3:5-6……….maybe you’ve been too caught up in yourself for a while that you failed to …commit your ways before him….because in vain the builders will build if the lord God buildeth not….and his ways are above your ways just as his thoughts are above your thoughts…..why don’t you allow God who can do all to be the leader and project manager, supervisor, and all you ever worry to be…..and enjoy the ride to success forthwith…… pray with me….lord Jesus, thank you because I know and believe you can strengthen me to do all things. I’m sorry if I’ve been trying so hard to be self sufficient, I realize it only takes my willingness for you to help me…..henceforth, I give myself, my selfworth and my life’s work to you. Thank you Lord for making me a success.

One thoughtful spark from his heart leaps up and away, beating sea spans to find another
Connecting to Bilkisu’s, grating chilli, warming up by fire in chilly condition
Before now, she’s been lone ranger in a universe of mediocre exuberance
This minute , she thinks this thing betwixt and about her bent pounding position, more
A presence warming up, spicing it all up, making sweet dish of a dire shift
As she suddenly joyfully bursts out in brand new songs, praising, somewhere in West Africa
An awakening, this army of faithful followers bear witness to, a telling no distance ever contains
Wang dials Ajeh; they are held in divinely designed triad, fired up beyond Mandarin and Hindi
Katerina cries “Christ is Risen”, as bells clang, clock strike time to converge
From Valparaiso, with love

So together, all of us see the stars above, are awed by life designed by Divine Mind
Signs seen through space, regardless of time zones
Night or day, our praises rise like resurgent waves, our unity a praise
Thousands of miles apart, closer than a linking of hands
We are a life, a voice, a flame to illuminate
Let us, in oneness shine as saints, to show the world
Let them know that Christ is greater than creed, greed, boundary stones or skin tones
Christ is for us, all; Christ makes us his, makes us one.

MANIFESTING THE SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE
If you did not receive the spirit of excellence last Sunday, I bet you had gone out for lunch during the sermon.
So brother Daniel filled with excellence had no other option but to paint the he lived in with standards that marked him out as an Excellency even before he got a portfolio. A wonderful administrator through whom the king had no other option but to suffer no loss, a powerful dreamer and visionary that foretold the future and interpreted the artful handwriting on the wall as though it was just an ordinary ABC.
Looking at the marvelous works big Daniel did, am forced to ask, “Did he have an all-round-excellent Spirit?” of course the answer is yes. The excellency he carried in his belly was made manifest in the things God wanted to use to achieve his glory through him. Though he was operating under the spirit of excellence, he was never tagged a wonderful musician or a great man of war like David whose manifestation of excellence was not just in been a caring, loving shepherd but also in the skillful manipulation of harp and spiritual downloading of soul lifting song directly from the throne of grace and deftly taking down brother Goliath.
And am like,”who is this excellent spirit we are talking about?” The holy spirit is the spirit of excellence, so if you have the holy spirit having his majestic mansion sited within you, you are bound to be excellent. Imagine elder Jesus Christ whom Beloved John recorded had the spirit of god without measures, he could talk three volumes of life with no flaws for the Pharisees to nail him with yet he could by the same words change people like my very brother Mathew who was nothing near goodness. Why was all these possible? The excellent spirit he received needed to be manifested not just in oratory but also in signs that followed him everywhere he went.
So like Daniel, we could be excellent in our academics, we could like David give the world thousands of songs that would take away despair, and we could end up been great fishers of men like Paul who braved through challenges to take the gospel with power to the gentiles, we could make books without end like  our most brother Solomon who filled with world with wisdom, we could be more excellent than shakespare because the spirit of excellence is in us. But remember this, “you can only manifest excellence in the areas God intend to move the nation through you.
