The Joy of One Child

Godzniel's avatar2nd Daniel

It was Pain that brought me home. I  have to warn you though, it was not entirely mine. Let me explain, maybe you can join me. Maybe you can join us.

There was a choir aloft above the stars, alight with invisible colours painted with eternal splendor. Their song filled an entire realm with dense excellence as reminded their master of his masterful mastery.

One day he said, ‘Your numbers are great. I will make one who is comparable to me in excellence and projection. And like me, he will create praise for me and rule my expanded domain.’

But a proud Angel said, ‘Why should a younger and corruptible species inherit such vastness? Since this is the nature of you, Master, I will have the choir sing their songs of power at me. Even these your masterpieces will testify of my worth and grace.’

So the choir watched as…

A War of Words

Godzniel's avatar2nd Daniel

My life is a story but telling it after I’m dead doesn’t mean I will or am reincarnated; and like all great stories I start at once, up on a timepiece I start at once, up on a time please I’m just playing with words.

I like words. They are full of power so what you say, they’re powerful. Its elementary. School doesn’t teach us and our late pastors are too busy being alive to die daily and so their words are blunt and their monologues don’t log on to hardened hearts anymore yet, by words we are saved or not. Its elementary.

But we all are guilty of this… Verbal debauchery. In the music we so shamelessly enjoy today, in our movies where we are lost in a world where nothing but the thrill matters; we speak as we wish and quote as we like, memorizing pretences while pretending…

No Other Gospel

Godzniel's avatar2nd Daniel

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be…

MY GENERATION by ‘Nathaniel Bassey’

nathaniel_bassey
My generation is in a hurry.
We want everything now now now!
We want it to happen fast and right away or we’ll make it happen
We want the glory, without the story.
We want to be stars, without the scars of discipline
We want the prize, without paying the price
We want the limelight without the wilderness experience
We want thrills and frills, with no substance
We want to be eulogized without being circumcised.
We want an anointing, without the consecration.
We are controlled by what we see and feel than the voice of the Spirit and the word
We want hit songs, without the heat of the Holy Spirit’s fire
We want big platforms to perform, without first being transformed
We want huge success without going through the process
We want prosperity, with no posterity
We want to shine without being refined.

I have news for you. In this kingdom, the kingdom of our great God, there is something called the path of life. A way of glory. It’s the journey of dying to self and the flesh. Things don’t just happen.
Every man and woman out there, doing great and genuine works in the kingdom are those in the school of the Spirit. In this school, you wait ! You are tried, tested, empowered and released unto good works.
Is it Jesus? David? Paul? Or who? Jesus spent 30 years preparing for a ministry of 3.5years. In this kingdom, people don’t just emerge. They are first submerged in Christ, where they are transformed.
You want to reflect His glory? You have to behold it first. Come on now!
You don’t just sow a seed into some person and expect to walk in their level of unction.
Well, in the other kingdom, that of this world, you can package it, work it and engineer it, and it would appear to work. But not here.
God has a room. It is a waiting room.
Psalm 105:19
“Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tested him.”
Hebrews 10:36.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise
You want good success? It has to be based on Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 1.
Please send and share with a young person out there. Especially those in a hurry to make it.
We shall be a wise generation.

God bless you all.

Is Christianity a Religion? (if NOT, what’s the difference?)

The Dictionary cannot solve this argument.

I say that because English Language was not the origin of the word religion. It was borrowed.

That said, religion came from latin word: religio which originally means RITUAL, not ritual like blood sacrifices though (because that word was also borrowed from latin). Ritual, originally means something you do at certain intervals following certain rules and patterns. It’s usually boring. For instance, you might hear someone saying that taking a walk is their evening ritual. It means that they do it everyday, following the same pattern

Another word for it is ROUTINE

So religion (latin: religio) means something done following certain patterns and traditions that must be done the same way every time.
Adapted to English Language, it is man following certain patterns in his attempt to find, connect and communicate with beings superior to him.

So you can say certain sects of “Christianity” are religious. Like the Catholic Church. Everything has to be repeated the same way, every time (If you are a Catholic here, no offense!). You do know I am saying the truth though ‘cos I used to be one.

Religion is man’s desperate search for God.

Christianity on the other hand, is God’s search for man.

Nothing in Christianity is routine.

You could go from simple to crazy. Nobody’s saying you have to get on your knees to communicate with God. It can be done any how! That’s Christianity. The only thing common to the ‘religion’ of Christianity (yes I used brackets because it’s not a religion) is that you must believe, accept, and appropriate the salvation God bought with His own blood, and invite Him into your life, while doing a complete turn-around from satan, sin and the world

Or you could look at it like this:
Religion is the law. Christianity is Grace

Religion gives you DOs and DON’Ts

Christianity makes you want to be like the God of Heaven. So even without the law, the Christian will never sin
He cannot

Because he has lost the nature of sin

It is like a dog and a man. The dog cannot say anything without barking. It’s not the barking that makes it a dog, but because it’s a dog, barking is its nature. If it opens its mouth, it barks. Whether it wants to or not. The same way, it is not the act of sin that makes the sinner. It is the fact that he’s a sinner that makes it impossible for him not to sin. But if that dog is changed to a man, it has lost the nature of barking. But it can still bark, but it doesn’t mean he’s a dog. The Christian can make a mistake and sin. Doesn’t make him a sinner. He simply let himself act like dog. He can go take a bath (to you, that’s the blood of Jesus) and remain a clean man, but a sinner, no matter how religious, cannot not-Sin.

Christianity is accepting Christ and confessing Him with your mouth. Then in faith allowing Him to finish what He has started at your salvation. Religion as regards Christianity, is accepting Christ *or not accepting Him for some*, but trying to finish what He has started in any way.

Christianity: It is a control of a Life by the Holy Spirit.
Religion: More of human effort and not God doing it.

The difference is that Jesus didn’t come to introduce any religion. Jesus came to show Himself as the Saviour and the same with God the Creator. That’s why He said I Am THE, and not a, Way…
I AM THE ONLY ONE! (Remember John 4).

Jesus told that woman, the time comes, and now is it, that you will neither worship in the same, nor in Jerusalem, but worship God in the Spirit. So, He didn’t come to set up a religion and state that one is the best. He just came to connect humans to their true God, in the right way and the only way.

So, He is not a religious leader. Neither did He establish a religion. He is God, and every one following Him is not into religion.

Also,
Religion is a way of getting to know a supreme being and please such. Following Jesus, we are not trying to please God. God is saying to us in Christ Jesus, I am pleased with you already. Everything we are doing for God in Christ Jesus is born out of His love for us rather than we trying to get His attention.

Religion tries to get a supreme being’s attention whereas following Jesus is more of God getting our attention and trying to make us what we stand to enjoy if we stick to Him.

Don’t Just Read, Meditate On This Also

If we don’t keep Jesus’ commandments, we can’t ever enjoy His love and care. Enjoying His love doesn’t answer to prayer and fasting, and all kinds of spiritual gymnastics. Even though, they are all good, and have their respective roles and applications.

Abiding in Jesus’ love and enjoying His love to the maximum every time only answers to our continuity in keeping His Words and Commandments. And His commandments are not grievous, but life everlasting.

The good news is that, the Holy Spirit helps us to do this, if we really mean to do it and ask Him (Holy Spirit) to help us. Remember He is called “Comforter, Helper.” He is ever accurate and never fails! And we can’t ever fail, when we trust His leading! John 15:9-12, 8:31-32, 12:49-50, 1 John 5:3.

God bless us.

take NO thought!

OK….Am I going to say that its bad to think?

Of course not!

But what is the gain of wishful thinking? What is the gain of worrying over situation that you can’t help or change?

When JESUS said “Do not worry about your life…” (Matthew6:25), He meant it!

It doesn’t sound like a plea or a request, its a command.

You have to make deliberate conscious effort to stop worrying whenever it comes. Just tell yourself the truth, you can’t do anything about the situation, all you have to do is pray and relax in God’s love.

This Almighty, most high God loves you very much!

HE loves you more than anyone could ever love you.

HE is the owner of your past, present and future.

As long as you have been reconciled to Him through Jesus, you are now His own. And He says;
“I will not leave you nor forsake you..” (Joshua1:5)

“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;” (Jeremiah31:3)

“The very hairs of your head are all numbered, you are of more value than many sparrows..”(Matthew10:30,31)

“For I am conscious of my thoughts about you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a hope at the end.”(Jeremiah 29:11)

God is not about to write your purpose on earth, NO! He has already written it.

He knew you before you were born.

He knows the things that belongs to you and the ones that doesn’t.

He has your life’s plan mapped out on His palms….And guess what? Its a good plan! (Jeremiah29:11).

So relax. Pray without ceasing. Rest your whole being in His will and plan, take no thoughts at all because “He will make all things beautiful in His time”. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
