Let yout gathering, gather many to Christ. That is what church was meant for…

So I saw this on WhatsApp
Take me back to the old Paths, when Moms were at home.
Dads were at work.
Brothers went into the army.
And sisters got married BEFORE having children!
Crime did not pay; Hard work did;
And people knew the difference.
Moms could cook; Dads would work;
Children would behave…
Husbands were loving; Wives were supportive; and children were polite.
Women wore the dresses; and Men wore the trousers.
Women looked like ladies;Men looked like gentlemen; and children looked decent.
People loved the truth, and hated a lie;
They came to church to get IN, Not to get OUT!
Hymns sounded Godly; Sermons sounded helpful;
Rejoicing sounded normal; and crying sounded sincere.
Cursing was wicked; Drinking was evil; and divorce was unthinkable.
We read the Bible in public; Prayed in school;
And preached from house to house.
To be called a Christian was worth living for;
To be called a traitor was a shame!
Sex was a personal word. Homosexual was an unheard of word, And abortion was an illegal word.
Preachers preached because they had a message; and
Christians rejoiced because they had the VICTORY!
Preachers preached from the Bible;
Singers sang from the heart;
Sinners turned to the Lord to be SAVED!
A new birth meant a new life; Salvation meant a changed life;
Following Christ led to eternal life.
Being a preacher meant you proclaimed the word of God;
Being a deacon meant you would serve the Lord;
Being a Christian meant you would live for Jesus;
And being a sinner meant someone was praying for you!
Laws were based on the Bible;
Homes read the Bible;
And churches taught the Bible.
Preachers were more interested in new converts than new clothes and new cars.
Church was where you found Christians on the Lord’s day, rather than in the park,
on the creek bank, on the golf course, or being entertained somewhere else.
Give me that old time religion!
‘Tis good enough for me!
I still like the “Old Paths” best! Jeremiah 6:16…

DESTINY-ATION 2
Now this is the point where you might want to get a Bible and read through Genesis 12&13. (I’ll be making a lot of reference to that)
THE CALL
You know that nagging feeling you’ve got in your chest, that certainty that you have what it takes to be great, impactful, that thing that makes you look to the mountain tops and see nothing but possibility; you just know there’s something more and yeah, you can’t shut down that feeling so quit trying because you my friend has heard the call.
“What now?” you say…
I tell you it’s your innate identity calling forth for manifestation. This call leaves you yearning for heights you’ve not yet reached. It promises you the world at your fingertips. When you got it you got it. You can deny it but please don’t numb it, don’t ignore it, now is the time to listen carefully. Suffice me to say that if you go ahead to do something about this without God being involved you might find yourself in a good old shipwreck and oh how great your frustration would be. So please do yourself a favour,
GET GOD INVOLVED
If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ’s care, you desperately need to now. I tell you it was the best decision I ever made and I’m undoubtedly sure that it would be yours too.
(If you have no one who you can talk to immediately, just say the salvation prayer at the top right pane of this page in faith and then you can send us a mail to our official address: christapoet@gmail.com for further questions, prayer or counselling)
So now that you’ve got God in, what you want to do is listen, instructions are on their way.
Stay tuned…
QUICK QUOTEs
Do not live your life as a reaction.
QUICK QUOTEs
Above all, do not touch Christianity unless you are willing to seek the Kingdom of God first. I promise you a miserable existence if you seek it second.
– Henry Drudmond.
THE MEANS JUSTIFIES THE END…
‘The end justifies the means’ is a very common statement, especially amongst consequentialists. This is a school of thought that says that it does not matter how you came about your result, the most important thing is that you have a result. If you’ll have to kill to win elections, it’s all good provided the election is won. If you’ll have to cheat to pass, it’s okay provided your grades are up. If we have to kill a hundred people to find a cure for HIV/AIDS, it’s alright provided a cure is found. I can go on and on.
Interestingly, this consequentialism theory has eaten deeply into the fabrics of the church. It does not matter what you do as a Pastor, your success is justified by the membership strength of your church. You will pull multitudes to your crusades provided there will be miracle galore, how it happens is no one’s business.
Well, the new normal is this: “THE MEANS JUSTIFIES THE END”.
As much as your results validates your abilities, it is the process that justifies it. I understand that it is difficult to break out of a dogma, especially if you are comfortable with it, but I challenge you today to sit on the other side of the table.
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wiae man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”
Matt. 7:22-25 (KJVL).
If the process is right, the result will last.

Please share with others and let it bless them as it blessed you
Stay blessed.

DESTINY-ATION
Watch your thoughts; they become words
Watch your words; they become actions
Watch your actions; they become habits
Watch your habits; they become character
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny
Frank Outlaw
As many times as the word destiny is used, it is quite a shock the number of people who are left clueless at the question of their destiny. Now this ain’t a quick fix so I don’t want you to read this looking for a definite answer to that one question as it applies to you, rather I hope by reading you’ll find yourself map, because in my opinion as humble as it is I believe you’re in search of not just your destiny but a destination; hence the coinage Destiny-ation.
Now for folks who like my dictionary feel I’m talking about fate and its inevitability: you may not get me. Be aware that I speak of purpose, I speak of a predetermined course that holds the key to your fulfilment as a human being; it is as easy to miss as it is to obtain. Better put, I’d say it is the reason you were created. Many don’t believe in this but history has proved over time that those who don’t have often come to realize at their sunset days that they were dismally wrong.
So yes, we all got a destiny; something we ought to do, someone we ought to be in the nearest future. It is our purpose, it is the reason we breathe, in it lies our fulfilment. The question however that bugs more than a few is how to discover it, to know it, so that one can focus and achieve that one thing that makes all the difference.
In this short series, we look to understand and wield the truth of destiny.
To be continued.
