“I can’t remember if I seduced him or if he came calling for me.”

All I remember was the loud stumps of angry feet drawing closer and closer. Huge arms whisked me away from him and led me to the slaughter ground. My partner wasn’t with me. I don’t know why… but they let him go.

Fear gripped me.

My stomach rumbled.

My feet quaked.

So this is it for me? A painful death by stoning. I could imagine the heavy bricks landing on my soft skull. I knew the penalty of adultery, but I did it anyway. The fear of punishment didn’t stop my desires. Why is sin so strong even with the law?

As I kept thinking, they dragged me into the temple and brought me to the teacher. He was called ‘Rabbi.’

“We caught this woman in adultery”, they said. “And according to Moses’ law,” they continued. “We must stone her to death. So what do you say?”

He didn’t reply them. He stooped low and wrote in the dust. My heart almost stopped. It seemed like my life was in his hands.

His reply would save me from death…

His reply would save me from condemnation..

His reply would give me a second chance.

“My Lord, please say something!” my eyes screamed

Just then, he looked up and said “All right! But let he who has no sin be the first to cast the stone.”And he continued writing on the dust.

The murmurings gave way…

and one by one… each of them went their ways. Leaving me alone in dismay.

I was dumbfounded! So, we all have sinned? I thought it was just me.

He looked at me and said; “Where are your accusers? No one condemns you?”

“No one  Lord.” I replied.

“Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.” He said.

And I never left his side since that day.

If eternity existed now
What a difference that would make.
If forever was a sure thing right now
We wouldn’t be scared.

If mistakes weren’t real
Decisions won’t be hard.
If pain wasn’t part of the bargain
Gain would be easy.

If luxury was littered everywhere
Hardwork would be useless
If death wasn’t a reality
Life wouldn’t be treasured
And what a life that would be…
One in which everything and anything goes
Virtues would be outrageous
And Vices….Normal

It would be a struggle
More than it is now.
That’s why a heavenly eternity awaits
Anyone who walks the narrow way

The way for heroes and heroines
The way of discipline,The way of courage
The way of humility,The way of service
The Way called JESUS.

The way that renews your spirit
And changes your character.
The way of life!
Eternity is not now but we are all on the Way

Are you on the right one?

take NO thought!

OK….Am I going to say that its bad to think?

Of course not!

But what is the gain of wishful thinking? What is the gain of worrying over situation that you can’t help or change?

When JESUS said “Do not worry about your life…” (Matthew6:25), He meant it!

It doesn’t sound like a plea or a request, its a command.

You have to make deliberate conscious effort to stop worrying whenever it comes. Just tell yourself the truth, you can’t do anything about the situation, all you have to do is pray and relax in God’s love.

This Almighty, most high God loves you very much!

HE loves you more than anyone could ever love you.

HE is the owner of your past, present and future.

As long as you have been reconciled to Him through Jesus, you are now His own. And He says;
“I will not leave you nor forsake you..” (Joshua1:5)

“Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;” (Jeremiah31:3)

“The very hairs of your head are all numbered, you are of more value than many sparrows..”(Matthew10:30,31)

“For I am conscious of my thoughts about you, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a hope at the end.”(Jeremiah 29:11)

God is not about to write your purpose on earth, NO! He has already written it.

He knew you before you were born.

He knows the things that belongs to you and the ones that doesn’t.

He has your life’s plan mapped out on His palms….And guess what? Its a good plan! (Jeremiah29:11).

So relax. Pray without ceasing. Rest your whole being in His will and plan, take no thoughts at all because “He will make all things beautiful in His time”. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

be BOLD!

If it doesn’t feel right,
don’t do it.
If its not true,
don’t say it.
If it doesn’t cover you up,
don’t wear it.
If it will hurt a soul,
don’t utter it.
If its not noble,
don’t act it.
If its not pure,
don’t think it.
If its porn,
don’t watch it.
If its not biblical,
don’t believe it.
If its not real,
don’t fake it.
If it will kill your dream,
don’t allow it.
If its disorderly,
don’t follow it.
If its not genuine,
reject it.
If Jesus can’t do it,
don’t do it.
If its the devil,
rebuke him!

what is yOuR NAME?

“What is your name?”
“You mean… my name?”

I could close my eyes in a quick drift in to my spirit to give you an answer….

My name is who I am!
It is not merely a form of identification;
No! It is an embodiment of my whole being
It does not only describe my features
It gives you a description of my origin.
It does not just qualify me as a creature
It introduces you to my creator.
It does not just say I am human
It gives you my meaning.

It is not just about a phase of my life
It is the whole book of my life, as it is written of me.
It is not just about my past, present of future
It is about them three
It is not just, what I can become
It is what I am.
My name is I and I am my name!
You can see it in my eyes…

Just like scientists and their laws
My name and my creator are connected.
I am his product and bear his trademark.
My name is the declaration for the delectation of my creator.
My name is the bedrock of the loss of me…
Remember that I am still thinking of the right answer to your question.
So next time, ask me of my birth name instead of MY NAME.
My birth name could just be a word, but my NAME is something more.

“I am the child of the only living God who created heaven and earth, and who lives forever more.”

Now, that is my name.

Remember that nursery rhyme..
‘We are H.A.P.P.Y. (X2). We know we are! We are sure we are! We are H.A.P.P.Y. Happy!

And indeed, they are happy! With eyes so bright and free of fright
So full of hope and devoid of a wandering mope.
Feet swift to dance and bounce
Caring less of the attention they announce
Hands so free to wave and clap
Giving off little sweet noises
They really don’t care if the sound is organised or nonsense
All that matters is that moment of fun and ecstasy
And yes! They have these moments in abundance. Happiness is a child… It is the embodiment of little giggles and broad smiles
It is being inquisitive and yet not reasoning everything
It is being bold to show your emotions without masking them in deception
It is waking up the next morning without remembering who flogged you last night
It is laughing at yourself when you give out a loud fart without feeling embarrassed
It is worrying about nothing
Forgiving your offenders when they give you biscuits and cookies

Happiness is a child… It is going to bed without an angry thought or venom against someone
It is believing that there will always be daily provision of cookies for you without bothering your mind about its source. Happiness is a child… And that child is inside of you!
The master admonished us in Luke18:17
Regardless of your age,if you are to enter the kingdom of God
You need to become like little children
Not just children
Get rid of the uptight know-it-all adult
That is masking the beauty of the little angel within you… Be happy! Be a child!

..Standing behind my window I watched as the rains poured..
Each drop called my feet towards it.
..I really wanted to go..
My deepest desire to have each drop kiss my skin.
But I couldn’t move cos’ everyone was watching..
Their big eyes, my umbrella =))
…what’s yOuRz?
Cos’ d rain is still pouring and we are both holding back our desires to dance in it.
Frustrating right? Yea, I know…
What is life if we cant swerve in our rains?
If we cant be touched by those soothing droplets of our deepest desires…
If we cant get soaked in the reality of our dreams?
Nay, we don’t need umbrellas…
Well, except d ones wit holes in them. :D. Yeah, tiny little holes of hope, courage, strength, confidence and ‘yes I can!’
Not those thick perfect umbrellas that denies us of d ecstatic tickling of our own rains..
And until we poke through these umbrellas wit a wind of change, our rains will not kiss our skin….

We tend to give up on ourselves after fallin several times into the thick smelling mud of sin. And when we get up, we are still covered with the sticky sand, not knowing how to clean ourselves up, we blurt out in defeat; ‘we are all sinners afterall!’, ‘who amongst us is even witout sin?’, ‘we all hv demons dat we fight everyday’….and so on and so fort.
But, have you ever sat done to consider the matter?
If God said that; ‘people who are conceived and brought into life by ME don’t make a practice of sin. How could they? Its not in THE NATURE of my begotten to practice and parade sin’ 1john3:9(MSG)
Did you hear that? God is saying..How could you?! It is undastandable if a man who hasn’t accepted the lordship of Christ falls into sin and makes a practice of it. But not you! Its not in ur nature!
‘Could it be any clearer? Our old ways of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life. You are no longer at sin’s every beck and call !’ Romans6:11 (MSG).
Dear, you are no longer a slave to sin. Stop accepting defeats. Stand up and live d life that has been born into you through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Don’t make God a liar and make Jesus’ death useless by parading yourself in sin like a helpless child. Accepting the help of Jesus starts with a deep understanding of the fact that you are a new creature and sin is not your nature! Then approach the throne of grace with boldness and be rid of your sins.
Now don’t get me wrong, it is possible for a beliver to fall into sin without knowing, but makin a practice of it is absurd!
‘If you sin without knowing what you are doing, God takes that into account. But if you sin knowing full well what you are doing, that is a differnt story entirely.’ Romans2:12 (MSG)
So, dear child of God..make up your mind on this matter and stop dragging yourself in the mud of sin. Your will matters a lot in your destiny. You really need to discipline yourself and stay away from those things or those people that lead you to sin.
As I close this thought flowing in my mind, I want you to always remember that it is not in your nature to continue sinning! So says d Lord.
Finally..’Let God do His work in you. Yell a loud No to the devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and He will b there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the master; it is the only way you will get on your feet.’ James4:7-10 (MSG). Shallom!
