A Splendid New Year to you, you and you and yeah… to you too!

To start off the new year we have got to pay attention to some basic truths so as to get the year rolling with a great start…

First, the moment you have an understanding of God as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords some things just stop bothering you because the devil is no match for Him. This is why we need to continually work on our minds to accept the truth of the bible even more and to absolutely live it because in doing this we will definitely always have victory over the devil. You see, devil has no real power. All that we see as manifestations of evil is actually the power of God misused but if the people of God who have original rights to this power will begin to live in the consciousness of it then there is no limits to the power made available. To live in this consciousness however we have to get our mind regenerated and thinking right by taking the Word and reading it over and over again. Paying attention to the fact that these are not just words but are power containers of which when we realize them we access immense power.

This battle that rages on between us and the devil is one that exists primarily in our mind (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). So it’s like this; if you can accept the truth that the bible tells you in your mind and fully internalize it then just like magic you can do what it says you can do. So when you read scriptures pertaining to healing over and over again, consciously confessing them to yourself up until you have no doubt about it then you can as well go about healing the whole world of absolutely any disease. It’s that simple. Our Lord Jesus never did pray that much to heal the sick or raise the dead, all He was known to do was release a word and like that the healing came and yet He was a mortal man just like anyone of us. The funny thing is that on returning back to the Father Jesus declared that Greater works than these shall we do. So there is no question to it, this power is already in us. All we have to do is work on our mind till we have it manifested in our very eyes.

Through study of the scriptures we are made to understand that this world we are in is the first world or more like a TEST world. In that God in His omniscience wanted a family but He more than anyone knew that for the relationship to be real He had to be sure that the love was real so in this world He gave everyone free-will including the angels and His own Son just to be sure. Hence nothing really works unless you want it to work (in other words you chose it). So the next time something happens to you, be sure that the host of heaven and hell alike are waiting to see whose report you will believe and then according to your faith it will be meted out to you. So there is no “man of God” with any special power, there is just faith which comes from hearing the word of God.

Know this, God wants the very best for us (Exodus 23:25-26). So let this flesh die along with all the doubt it carries because God is carrying us into yet another bible generation and doubt will only drag you backwards. This is the time where we study the word for ourselves and turn many unto righteousness by the word accompanied by uncommon manifestations of God’s power as have never been seen before. This is why it is important that the flesh dies now. Money consciousness and pride are not traits Jesus portrayed in His time yet He never lacked and He could only be recognized when He rose up to speak so much so that the Pharisees needed an insider to locate Him in the night. Nevertheless, the reality of the power none could deny. All these and more are available to us. (Galatians 4:1-6, Isaiah 10:24-27).

Andrew Wommack, a preacher of the gospel, confessed that in his ministry He has seen the impossible become possible through the study of the word. All he would do was to get scriptures as pertaining to an issue, critically study them, confessing them out loud till his mind is transformed to believing it totally and then the miracles just starts rolling in. This simple principle he taught those under him and still it works.

There sure is a place for the special place for the giftings of the Holy Spirit but that will only manifest when the Spirit moves just like Samson and the case of the pool of Bethesda but by studying and believing the word it absolutely works at your using and timing just like Jesus. (John 5:2-9)

Also, the only thing that will make us fall into sin or out of God is a lack of desire for God. It is important we know this because even when the word hits you through and through; without preparation (desire) it may lack effect in your life.

From Luke 19 we are introduced to an interesting man named Zacchaeus, who shows us what a man of purpose (desire) can achieve. From verse 3, we can see this man was not just interested in seeing Jesus but seeing Him for who He was. He was determined to know Jesus through and through just like the apostle Paul who so many years later declared “…that I may know Him”. That desire to know Jesus was like an unquenchable fire that drove him into overlooking his position and obstacles just so he could see Jesus for who He really was. Even when his height and the crowd proved to be an insurmountable barrier, the desire in him burned on till he found a way around that wall and the Master called out to him and even though he was a sinner Jesus ate with him. If you don’t get a desire for the Word, sooner than later you will be blown away too easily. This desire to know Jesus (The Word) for whom He is in all sincerity and determination is really the only thing that will allow us access the deep treasures of the word (vs. 9).

There is a growth for us to live beyond a particular situation and if we don’t have a strong desire to engage in this, the enemy will still be keeping us under. Isaiah 10:27 says, “…and the yokes shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Anointing here means growing into some fatness, so great, as to destroy the yokes off your neck.
The implication of this is that, if you don’t grow fatness rightly, the yokes will still remain around your neck, and it will still look as if Jesus has never made you free.

You must have a burning desire to grow so fat spiritually in 2015, as to destroy all kinds of yokes of the enemy holding you down. God isn’t going to do this for you. It’s your absolute responsibility to do it. When you do part, God will be waiting to do His part. Your part is simply your absolute determination to grow heavy spiritual fatness in the Word of God, by the Spirit of God. When Zaccheus purposed to see Jesus and know who He was, Jesus Christ also reached out to him. And salvation came into his life that same day.

Proverbs 18:1 says, “Through a desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.”
Note: All wisdom!

When we take a look at Luke 19:10, we see another amazing truth that perfectly sums up this teaching. Jesus (The Word) has come to seek and save that which was lost. Understand this, nothing in this world including ourselves belongs to the devil. Only by the mistake of the first man were we lost. However, when we search (seek) the Word we can save that which was lost. Even the bible has sufficient proof that right now, everyone alive has their names inscribed in the Book of Life but if any dies as an enemy of God, then the bible says that person’s name will forever be blotted out of the Book of Life. So know this truth for yourself, the devil cannot create anything, so all he does is steal the original and keep it up until it dies and gets destroyed. However, when we are renewed in Christ Jesus, we can go back and save that which was lost which includes the lost souls of the world, our lost authority in Christ Jesus, financial, physical and spiritual prosperity amongst other treasures God promises us in His word. So get studying, because the more of the word you have, the more faith you wield without doubt.
