SHOW ME PROOFS NOT SKILLS!!!!

Great news!

“You are the light of the world; a city that is set on the hill cannot be hidden. –Mathew 5 v 14

Alright; I can feel hands clenching into fists and faces set into determination to spark off a revolution but before we embark on this unending journey in which we struggle for positions; to put forward a question needless an answer “do you have lights”?

The era of the manifestations of the sons of God is here! Hallelluyah! Then wait a second, what is our understanding concerning these lights the bible so emphasizes as our nature? The very light is Jesus! You beg to differ?

John 1 v 4 says: In him was life and this life was the light of men.

Pardon me brethren if I drive this point in a hard way. Light just does not connote the showcase of your multi- abilities. Simply put, it is revealing the personality of Jesus.

Mathew 5 vs 16 ” Let your light so shine before men that they may see your GOOD WORKS and glorify your father in heaven.

Your good works is a proof that you are light. Please show me proofs NOT SKILLS! Now I am not condemning gifts. The problem is not the service you render with them but the attitude with which it is rendered. It is the reaction of the heart. If your entire motive is to attract the praise of man, sorry that is a great adventure in darkness.

Shinning forth as lights is being embedded in the word of God and manifesting in the power of the Holy Ghost.

It was well said by Paul in 1st Corinthians 2 vs 4 ” and my speech and my preaching were not with the persuasive words of human wisdom but in demonstration of spirit and of power.

Jesus said: The flesh profits nothing but the Spirit giveth life; the words I speak to you are spirit and they are life. The word of God is a transmittable Spirit. It is the Spirit of life and light. For the entrance of the word giveth life.

You see, the Holy Spirit activates the word and acts on it. The word shows possibilities but the power of the Holy Ghost makes it a reality. The more we labour in the word ; the more light we receive and show forth. Hear this; our redemption as lights is being redeemed in Jesus being personified in us. Jesus was so engrossed in his Father’s work. When heavenly vision is ran with selfish ambitions, it becomes an earthly fiction! Then we miss out as lights.

Conclusively we are the light of the world! so Halt! let there be no more struggle for positions and meager praises from men.

Let love and passion to run God’s work rule our heart; it is the foundation of limitless destinies.

When the sky is dark
And the storm is harsh
When your spirit is down

When vicissitudes are much

How do you do it?
When the sound of music
Holds no worship
Devoid of passion
Have you ever felt it
Sobs of songs
Sobs of passion
Where do you turn to?
When you can’t go on
The odds are against you
The future looks bleak
When death strikes
And your confidant is gone

What do you hang on to?
Your eternity holds no hope
Just space
How do you do it?
Thinking you evolved
Such a pity
No gratefulness

What gives you joy?
Sighting the green trees and their lush fruits
the sea and the blue skies
the rain and the sun
And there is no omnipotence

How do you know it?
The larger than life itself
The uncertainties and mishaps
Hanging by a thread
When money can’t help
And love isn’t the answer

What do you do?
Is it worth it?
Being logical and calculative
When your burdens can be cast
And your heart can be peaceful
Be stupid and happy
Not logical and blue.

EVERYDAY JESUS

One of the most interesting things about the Christian race is how you don’t get it all at once. What I mean is, the moment you give your life to Christ trust me a lot has already changed within you and if you haven’t yet please do (You are missing a lot!). However, just like the bible says “…his mercies are new every morning”, all who have dared to seek a relationship with this awesome God can confess how amazingly new this experience seems to be everyday. Like we used to say when I was younger, one could read a verse from the bible for a whole year and get 365 different understanding from that one verse (supposing the person is very honest and hungry for more of God). Funny thing is he or she would have still not exhausted the wealth of knowledge in that one verse. Now, this seems much like a fallacy of generalization but what can I say, give it a try!

Unfortunately sometimes we tend to fall short of our part in this relationship and in the end, we miss out on amazing opportunities spiritually and in our daily lives. I know this because I have fallen prey to this several times (nothing I am proud of!) and now I know better. One of such occasions was a fateful morning on my way to work. I had entered a commercial vehicle that should convey me to a central area from where I’d continue to my office. As I settled in, I couldn’t help but notice how loud the driver was. At first, he seemed to have been in some sought of conversation with the other passengers but was distracted by some driving stunts other fellow drivers were putting out and he began shouting at them, obviously angry. I am not a fan of loud people so needless to say I was already uncomfortable but that was soon to be the least of my worries. Continue reading →

PERFECT ME…

I am so perfect, in fact I have never and will never see anybody as perfect as me.

When I make a mistake; I’m only human, when others make a mistake; they are careless,

When I fail a course; the lecturer failed me, when others fail a course; they are dull,

When I eat all d food; I’m hungry, when others eat all the food; they are greedy,

When I come to church late; I was busy, when others come to church late; they don’t fear God,

When I win; I am obviously the best, when others win; they are lucky,

When I shout angrily; they provoked me, when others shout angrily; they have no self control,

When I fall asleep; I was tired, when others fall asleep; they are lazy,

When I drink garri; I’m being content, when others drink garri; they are broke & poor.

When I play games; I’m relaxing, when others play games; they are wasting their time.

Can’t you see how perfect I am & flaw full everyone else, that’s why I have a right to criticize everyone ( and maybe even God)

Perfect me … Or …is that, insensitive & judgmental me.

If it cant cost you sacrifice, it wont profit you consolation,

If it cant cost you seeds, it wont profit you harvest,

If it cant cost you death, it wont profit you life,

If it cant cost you the world, it wont profit you Christ.

The Christianity that cost you nothing profits you nothing.

True Christianity will cost you everything, but will give you much more.

wHaat IF?

What if this life you’re living is just one long dream?
What if there’s no life at all?
What if the Universe was created from one BIG BANG?
What if man actually evolved from water?
What if we’re actually not living on planet Earth?
What if there’s no Solar system?
What if you’re not grown up?
What if you’ve not been born at all?
What if there’s no such thing as death?
What if all religion is false?
What if Jesus was never born, hence He never died?
What if there’s no Heaven or Hell?
What if there’s no judgement after death?
What if rapture was all a hoax?
What if the Bible is false?
What if there is no God?
But wait!!!
What if all these are just crazy thoughts running through my mind?

Now…

What if you’re truly living?
What if the story of evolution was all… Ya, we all know it’s definitely false
What if there’s a God and He did create the Universe?
What if there’s a Heaven and a Hell?
What if there’s actually judgment after death?
What if rapture is actually gonna happen?
What if the story of Jesus is SOLID?
What if the Bible is 100% true?
What if you died without believing in Jesus, what would that mean?
What if you give your life over to Jesus now?
Wouldn’t you feel a whole lot safer?
Knowing that if He’s real, you make Heaven
“And if He’s not?” you ask
You still loose nothing
It’s a “win-win” situation if you ask me
There’s no harm in trying, only joy, happiness and definitely a sense of security
He’s waiting on you
Take that step today
