Words well up from behind my eyes as I type
them without format, stanza or protocol. I simply
need to eradicate the stench of annoyance that
has built up from years of not flushing my
system properly of irritation.
The log of wood in my left eye has grown a
canopy that is the habitat for my patience and
perhaps, I have become a patient nursing the
promises of my Comforter as I watch my kin
shiver in a cold world.
I want to dump my conscience, having found it
has been conditioned by the same Miss
Information that hails from The knowledge of
Good and Evil. Since I’ve fallen off that family
tree, I want to leave that Local Government Area
behind, but…
How?
Lord You said if I left mother, father, sister,
brother and anything anyone for you I would
surely get more in return, but is this what you
meant? Should I really abandon these people to
their ways?
Yes?! I hear you saying ‘Yes’!!
Yes, why not Yes right? With one word, you solve
my dilemma and as usual where I’ve come to
sulk and pout, you suck me dry of depression
and pour out your peace. If I didn’t have you I
would surely have snapped like a twig
underneath a stampede.
Tomorrow I will have a smile for everyone, and
your words will crawl down the my heart only to
drip through my lips and ripples of joy and
praises will send waves of glory into eternity.
It is you, working in me, willing and doing your
thing. All they’ll see is you, while even I am
healed inside your startling power. My gratitude
is unspeakable but I know you know my
thoughts, so you know my expressions of worship
are merely outbursts of spirit pressure.
You are mine, and I am yours,
Your eternal Majesty;
The Lord of Light and Life,
The King of Heaven,
First Signatory of The Better Covenant,
Grand Architect of the Universe,
The Invisible Lord of Everything,
The Inventor of Music and Beauty,
The Chief Dispenser of Meaning,
The Author of Language and Progenitor of its
Diversity,
The Beginning The End,
The Boundary of Existence,
The Puzzle of Wisdom,
The Spirit of Truth,
The Way to Immortality,
The Conqueror of Death,
The Slayer of Nothingness,
My Father, Teacher, Healer, Provider, Shield,
Reward, Wisdom, Power, My God and Lord.
My Spirit, words must have been invented for
this very purpose, You!!!
You!!!
The Love,
The Inventor of Lovers,
You better prepare, because I’m coming home to
praise you like you imagined from the beginning
of the world; and you know… You know.

TWS- GO FOR IT!
If I give you a pad to write all the things that have crossed your mind to do, I am sure it will run into pages. As a matter of fact, you have been writing New Year resolutions for the past how many years? And for each time, there is something you tell yourself you will want to achieve that year…
Interestingly, this year was not different. Some of those plans have been carried over to the point that they really want out. And right now, you do not even know if you are going to actualize any of those plans this year.
Let me tell you something;
For every idea that is generated in your mind, you have to potential to actualize it.
I always tell people that whatever you can think of, you can have it. If it crossed your mind, then it should be mined. Now I will ask you to go to the place where you have kept that journal of ideas and get them out. Look at them again from the beginning and ask yourself this question: Did this cross my mind? If the answer is YES, then you have to quickly make a dash to the next paragraph.
The next thing I want you to do is tell yourself this: I will take the first step to make these ideas a reality and I am going to take them one at a time. Oh! That sounds relieving, right? This is just the beginning. I will need you to constantly tell yourself this and trust me, it will drive you to go for it.
That idea needs to be unboxed. You need to get it out of the book-box and start working on it. If you do not go for it, they will remain wherever you have kept it and you have the giver of the idea to answer to. My friend, GO FOR IT!
Not everyone is going to like what you do or what you have to offer; however, if you can’t see yourself doing anything else, and you have the drive and ambition, get the training and go for it

AGAINST ALL ODDS
Since the days I learned to write my ABC’s I have always known that E effortlessly came before the Gs and Hs and with eyes like mocking jays’ ears I watched as this routine set to educate with Greek elements taught me that the Es Extraordinary will always exceed the N’s Normal that the best B-E-S-T only referred to people who constantly applied Basic Excellence to Supersede every Trial that dared believe possible is not a closed universal set with only such elements available but an ever growing individual set only bound by the extent to which we stretch so we stretch till our limits no longer exist we stretch till our breathes cease and we lay hold on eternity as we be physically transformed to who we truly are saints. We stretch cos we are sent.
So Hello Reality,
My name is Godswill Ezeonyeka and I have decided to not be bound by your rules. Trust me, it is not my intent to come off proud or maybe arrogant; but I just can’t fit into the boxes you house me in anymore. You claim the odds are against me that I can never beat this and fitting in seems the best option, but then I would be lost. So what sense does it make when the struggles of my life gets me fighting for my life? Do I live by the sword only to die by its side?
My name is Godswill Ezeonyeka; and don’t be mistaken, this is no identity crisis. I could join ISIS and show you how real this is but Christ is my Choice, it goes way deeper than what eyes see. This is my decision― to leave like Abraham, eat like Daniel, give like Solomon, to preach like Paul; to only appear normal yet be free so you can see that you’ve been barking up the wrong tree. I am certain you do not know who these people are because the last you heard from them is a letter like this as they dared realms unseen; stomping impossibilities. Their lives all but lost.
Yes― you can call me ‘Unreasonable’, but I make Reason able to find roots on solid― Word. God’s words. So I don’t make thoughts of the pains to come if I fail the shame and repercussions I dare to challenge for yet my rod will still stretch out above these waters, my knees will not yield your command, listen I skate on storms and though a giant may charge at me, you will not want to miss the next news headlines “greater is He that lives in me”.
My name is Godswill Ezeonyeka, and I am sorry― No― I do not agree that things go one way. That fate holds all cards to play. That I am helpless. Too many lies. Do you know who I am? The known world was called forth because of me, so don’t tell me of a ‘real world’, I decide which is real― the world my eyes see or the world I see in His eyes. I call the shots, Reality. You owe me, Reality; so pay attention.
My name is Godswill Ezeonyeka, and I may not be as brave, see this is not about a thorough plan. Your fire may burn me, my friends; the King may not stretch his sceptre for my safety, this boiling oil might be the last of me, these walls so thick may not give way to my victory still His faithfulness makes me faith-full ― Yes! No matter the stakes, I stay high on His intoxicating Word no matter what you bring my way, Reality. Hope you are still listening?
Cos I know for a certainty that aside fairy tales, animals can talk, water can stand tall as walls, the sun can take a pause on its journey and hungry lions can get selective with their lunch. Fire can defy the laws of gravity, a valley full of death can rise to become a mighty army and a man can with God as a son speak. So it doesn’t matter what you think, I just want you to know this much
I have chosen to right my perspectives; to redefine my reality
Like others…and others yet would, I have chosen Him over you and me.
I am broken from your rules.
In Jesus I live. True.
Yours sincerely…

TWS- FINISH LINE
As I wrap this up, I want to say that the distance of your liferathon is not in the number of years you have to live, it is in the purpose you are to fulfill. One can be 80 and unfulfilled and another 45 and fulfilled. Fulfillment is not in age, but in purpose. The reason you passed the first hurdle is to fulfill purpose in order to get to the finish line of liferathon.
I knew you before I formed you in the womb; I set you apart for me before you were born; I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations
Jeremiah 1:5 (ISV)
I like to say that you do not have guarantee of long life if your purpose does not allow it. It is the time was allotted for you to fulfill purpose that determines when you get to the finish line.
I used to recite Psalm 91:16 and it used to be my best verse of that chapter. For some time now, I occasionally bring things I have believed in and held tenaciously over the years to a proofing table. One of the things I discovered about that verse was that it was an effect of a cause. I had to trace the cause back to verse 14. I then realized that I have no right to long life if I am not focused on my purpose.
Your purpose defines your finish line. During REHAB, your purpose is made clear to you. You receive the vision you are to run with. The essence of REHAB is not just to empower you to run, but to remind you that your life must count for something. So when you get to your finish line, you can then declare like Apostle Paul:
I have fought the good fight. I have completed the race. I have kept the faith
2 Timothy 4:7 (ISV)
When you come to the point where you have completed your assignment on earth, that is your finish line.
Stay blessed and a Happy November to you.

Poetry in Pottery
I went to the potter’s house today ( not the one up for sale :D)
When I got in, the potter welcomed me and I got to see around. Then he set colorful pots before me.
“Poetry in clay jars”, he had said.
Poetry? Was being presented to me? In clay jars?
I watched him set them and I found they were in the order of the colors of the rainbow. I marveled as the white light shone on them and yet they reflected different colors. (1 Corinthians 12:14)
“Select one.”
I pointed at the one I selected. I’d chosen the yellow pot.
“The Yellow Poet”, he said smiling.
The pot was suddenly raised before me and left to hit the ground in a ‘thud’. I shrieked, “But why!”
“Take a look at the jagged pieces. You’ll see how God’s strength is shown in our weaknesses.”
So I looked on the floor and at the jagged pieces. There were pieces of different shapes and sizes. I looked at the jagged yellow particles. Some were rounded and big enough to hold water. Some were just too small and yet they were an indispensable part of the entire pottery, and sharp enough to prick the sole of one’s foot. Some others were just jagged enough; not too small, not too big.
But they all had poetry inscribed on them. Poetry pieces that comforted (stood the test of time, held water), dilapidated strongholds (hit the nail on the head, pricked), and there were pieces that just fed ( preached, were for just the right time and place).
“What do you see?”
“Poetry in jagged pieces! ”
I was happy. All of a sudden I was filled with joy and I began praising God.
“You feared for the broken pottery but you forget I am the potter and I know the purpose behind the moulding of each pot. If these clay jars, for instance, are not broken, how then can you find the poetry inscribed in them?
These clay jars are the height of my beauty and power ( Psalm 139:14) but they must be broken if their real purpose is to be met.” said the potter to me.
TWS-LIFERATHON
I have said earlier in this series that life is a race, a marathon race at that. If life then is a race, it therefore connotes that we are athletes. Also remember I said the rules here are different from the first hurdle you passed. In the race before you came to earth, your victory was dependent on the inability of others to reach the mark before you. But in Liferathon, you are solely responsible for the outcome.
As I looked into some marathon racers that wrote their names in the sand of time, I noticed a commonality, which will take us closer to the main theme of this series.
I noticed that in a marathon race, you do not need to attack the race with all your strength at the beginning. You can run at a steady pace and at the same time keep a close distance with other athletes. As the race progresses, you gradually increase momentum.
Let me say this to you today; your starting might be slow, but it does not mean you cannot win. All you need to do is gradually increase your momentum, with time, you will have the victory. Quitting the race should never be an option to consider. If you are considering that now, I will plead with you to stay with me till the end of this series. I am trusting God that you will definitely receive strength to get to the finish line of this Liferathon.
Stay blessed.
And a happy new month to you
