Lock

Excuse me sis, but I already read my Bible
My opinion is a stone from the Holy rubble
Testimonies make sense when the word made em
Parents chase miracles while ignoring them
Salesman in the meeting
Yeah we both saved but he wants my earnings
I am free, He freed me, keep your hallelujah
Praising from a grateful heart, keep your ATR

Yes I’m black but I say no to blackmail
Vex less, I understand you’re emotional
You lack depth – You need peace
If your heart soft you go bend the knee
But I know deaf ears are the red sea
And its true that only those who have read see
God already picked my lock so am safe see?

Our love

Our love tale started like soaking cannabis in hot water. I took a sip. You did likewise. The sole of our feet got baptised in this fever that got our tummies beating the African drums. We looked each other in the eyes, we found dark universe surrounded by a red sea. We could see what love is all about; two heads that one is better than. We felt like screaming but the fear that the onlookers would tag us mad forced us into each other’s arm.

You could hear my heart beating. It was not the Jazz you love. My heart made music, the kind Mozart made. You said it made you dull. But that was my whole life. I tried to let my eyes speak volumes of poetry anthologies but all you heard was words poorly knitted. You smiled. Not the type of smile you decorated the sky with the first day I stood before you as a stuttering child, fearful but determined to let you know that butterflies only visits your garden.

I prayed we never recovered from this euphoria. This state of having the moon constantly using our name in the lullaby it is singing. I told of the symphonies composed by the crickets and frogs ( hiding in the near by bush) in our favour. You said I was silly. Not that kind of silly. You meant that I stole your heart with my madness. I was happy. At least, someone has finally got me in the list of men who parade the face of earth with careless abandon of what lips would say. You were the earthquake my soul yearned for.

That was when you told me of a fairy land. I was the ragged prince and you the princess living in a mansion of a castle. You told me that I was the male Cinderella. I agreed. You made me to be born again. It is no metaphor. You turned me to a suckling praying that I will forever remain at your breast…

Reign

Christians clapping for the dusty
Rusty riches reaching for the hearts above, see?
Lust is the new faith, bro
So we aiming for the jet and cash flow, Abraham flow.

Now they’re saying that the ‘Amen’ did it.
Sitting in the new year; still above digits.
Woulda died broke, but am still living.
No I don’t tithe but am still given.
Wives tales wagging, nebios growing.
Up-down pastors, feature lies past us
Talk back at critics like the money is the measure

But all the riches in the world all disappear
Only the Word and those who hold him dear
Will still be here
I dont care which year
The end is a car and the world is a reindeer
I am not afraid, I am certain ’bout my reign dear.
Man’s not cold, whether or not it rain there
By faith I am sure we go reign there.

LIBERATED

All you give is free,
All you give is mine for free.

It cost me nothing,
But you gave still, holding back nothing.

Now I can boast in you,
Now I can stand boldly before you.

With no fear or guilt I stand,
On your Word forever I stand.

Your love for me can be compared to none,
In you I’ll dwell till forever is gone.

LOVE WITHOUT LIMITS

I was unsure the day I accepted Him. I couldn’t afford to be heart broken yet again.
But I needed help so I took the risk.
I said YES
Weeks went by and I found myself guilt tripping.
Nothing I did was enough or (so I thought).
I didn’t know how to express my love to Him the way He did to me.
I struggled so hard to be faithful, and committed, but I failed each time.
Loving Him was tough, I cried some nights, and silently prayed that He’ll forgive my shortcomings.
I couldn’t return the favour, I felt empty.
He carried all my burden, and never complained.
Months turned into years and I was certain I couldn’t keep up, it seemed too good to be true.
My Love, we need to talk.
Go on dearie, am all ears.

What can I do to help make this work?
How do you mean?
Each time I try to make up for a wrong,
Each time you love me more.
You never seem to count my wrongs against me.
I don’t feel befitting to have You, I don’t feel worthy.
Listen to me my love,
I rejoiced the day you accepted me.
All I seek is to have a relationship with you, my love for you is dependent on nothing you do.
I forgave you of all your short comings years ago. Your past isn’t relevant and can never be compared to the glorious future we have together.
I find you worthy, in you I see perfection.
Don’t try to earn my love,
my love for you is eternal.
I swore never to be angry with you.
My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.
Wow! Thank you Jesus!
For choosing me,
For loving me,
Now I know it’s not about what I do but what You’ve done.
I rest in You.

PITIEd MInD

For all things that are good
For all things that are kind
To fill us all in love
Bonding us all to one

To sow and to reap
To live and to die
Take hate as fate
Give love as grace

Show help not in pay
Give not to take
Always bring a way
Not just once a day

I chew tears as meat
When the future is stabbed by we
Love loses it’s battle
Hate is crowned in glory
Becoming opportunist devouring one another for gain
Breeding wars and sorrows to the heart

A day of nemesis shall arise
Warring lives to battle we could never win
Only to hope for a cure would we
To bring all things glorifying
Live a life of godly conscience

Many have issues, many have problems, we must do whatever we can do to help them and never use that in taking advantage of them, cause it could be your turn next time!

The Walk Home

I already wished I never started this

I already know that I must do this

I’m already steps into the final lap

Home, my destination on this sullen track

The noise they make drowns into the silence

The pain I feel drowns into my weariness

The curse I bear charts this course to which I am bound

Home, my destination on this sullen track

My enemy sees me fall and rejoices

He thinks this end means victory for him

He can’t see my journey ends not on this tree

Home, my destination on this sullen track

Though this night lingers and this tree withers

My hope breathes fire, my purpose never wavers

Many think this a lost cause but I drew the map

Home, my destination on this sullen track

Beyond this night is a morning that forever glows

Beyond this failure is glory untold

Beyond this pain is healing, beyond this downfall is rising

Home, my destination on this sullen track

If the enemy had known better he wouldn’t bother

Like a pawn in this game he moves at the will of the Father

Making way for us kings and queens to walk the path to

Home, our destination on this sullen track

Yes He died, yes we fell flat on our back

Yes He rose again, yes we will get back on track again

Yes our journey never ends till we get

Home, our destination on this sullen track

Home is righteousness borne of the salvation Jesus brings

Home is peace everlasting the kind that passes all understanding

Home is joy and rejoicing in the victory of the risen King

Home, our destination on this sullen track

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

MY CRAVE STORY

Hey Fam, If you’re familiar with the life of Jesus, then those words would surely ring a bell.
Jesus was a man of many parables. He used them to illustrate, to amplify and to deliver his message.

By definition a Parable is “a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson”. Parables bear unending truths while being rendered in seemingly plain terms.
That’s what we’re going to be about this month; Simple Stories!

This is a call to everyone of us to use our parables to give life.
Simply; Tell a (fictional/ adopted) story of your choosing and either post on your page OR send directly to us (cravevillage@gmail.com) with the hashtag #MyCraveStory.

We will be sharing these stories just as Jesus did, and hope that through them we will give life as we were empowered to do.
You don’t need to be a scribe to write, all you need is a story and something else you already have: THE UNCTION FROM THE HOLY ONE… 🔥
