BE STILL
Hmmmm, life is funny.it has a way of making fun of one and making a person of strong will fill foolish. When life laughs, it tries to laugh out as loud as possible, that one begins to question HIS father in heaven. This type of laughter could bring great shame that goes straight for your heart and that moment we break.
This laughter is worse than human laughter, because it seems you are living but you don’t feel alive, the world outside is turning and yours is dying still. Things seem not to move and even when you take a step forward; it seems you just took ten backward. You cry out, pray out, praise out and it is still, still.
Ps 23 v 2b said….. He leads me beside the still waters. When everything seems still, then be STILL. Because God just said in the above scripture that He will lead you beside whatever is still in your life, yes, He knows it is still. Who else do you think can see you through? Who do you think can bring hope to you even when you think you are far in your still zone.
Mark 4 vs. 39 said……He awoke and rebuked the wind and said Peace BE STILL and the wind ceased, and there was great calm. Things are STILL with God for a reason, is not that the wind was not good, No, but it was not needed at that point in time, to show itself of. As hard as it may be or seem, WE need to be STILL like the wind so that the Name of God be glorified in our life.
sometimes things may happen and we say it is not God, so we look for alternative ways of getting what we want, but God is coming in straight for your heart and all He needs is you to BE STILL and know that HE is God, He would bring light to the darkest part to your life and everything would change…..just know you are not too FAR from HIM.
I guess what has been going on since I started writing could be to remind you and me that the night can’t last for long, so lift up your eyes, look beyond the clouds of life that laughs at you. You are going to make it. If your heart is breaking, because there is a promise to those that hold on even when you can’t imagine a way out. BE STILL………Ps 46 vs 10a………..BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.
#CHOSEN 02: IT IS NOT BY QUALIFICATION
Text: 1 Sam. 16:1-13.
In the last episode, I made it clear by the help of the Holy Spirit that God does not look at size in making His choice of who to use.
You also have to know that God’s rejection of Eliab was not because he was not qualified. As a matter of fact, he was a captain of a thousand soldiers. He was always present in wars and have led his men to victories. So Eliab had a lot of leadership experience that qualified him for the hallowed position of the King of Israel. All his qualifications meant nothing to God simply because he was not God’s choice.
I love the way the King James Version stated it: “…for I have refused him”. This shows that there was a board meeting between God and Prophet Samuel. Samuel presented Eliab’s resume before God. He intended for God to agree to it, but it was not enough to change God’s mind on who he has chosen for the Job.
My dear, God’s basis of selection is not based on human parameters. It saddens my heart to see that educational qualification has become a priority for appointment of men into service. I am not saying God’s servants should not advance in education, but it should not be a yard stick for determining how well a man will do in service. I have attained some level of education, and I intend attaining more even in theology as God will help me. I do not intend to do this so as to have pastoral qualifications, but to get deeper in the knowledge of God.
Our quest for educational advancement should not be to intimidate other ministers that we feel are below our level, but let it be about growing in the knowledge of the one who has called us; God. Remember, you are not chosen because you are qualified.

I laid on my back
And I saw one star in the sky
Was quite taken aback
But then I remembered it would soon be night
The sun had set in the distance
The moon prepared for its show somewhere in the clouds
A day had run its course it’s chance
Now the night had come without no applause
Once I had a life I called fun
I never thought one day I’d regret it
I lived for the excitement no considerations
Now I bear the scars of my negligence
Tis a painful thing I tell you
To look at what should be good old days
To be unable to tell your little boy the truth
Because you wasted your youth your better years
I have a lot of experience
I have scars to show for it
Just wish I had testimonies instead
Learning from other peoples’ experiences
My sun is down
Soon all I’d have for light
Would be my moon and stars
So I gather my family together for the night
And I pray to sleep in the bosom of the Father
