YOU HAVE A REPUTATION; WHAT IS IT?

Numbers 22:6 (MSG) Come and curse them for me – they’re too much for me. Maybe then I can beat them; we’ll attack and drive them out of the country.

You have a reputation: those you bless stay blessed; those you curse stay cursed.

Every man born on earth has something he is designed to be known for and you are not an exemption. Yes! You too have a message for your generation. And your relevance is tied to your reputation. It is your reputation that will attract kings to you. There is a work every man is called to do, find your message and build your reputation around it. Your reputation is your actual life and a determinant of the level of goodness and calibre of people that come to you. They call it personal branding. I call it LIFE POSITIONING. Arise and shine!

I don’t know about you, but I want to have a reputation for being a contagious influence on every female folk I come in contact with. I want to be one who spits fire and puts an end to marital dysfunctions; from making the wrong choice of spouse, to addressing issues that hinder couples from experiencing Christ daily. I have found my message and I am set on building my reputation around it. Have you found yours? What exactly is it? May God reveal deep secrets to you in Jesus name.

Parent Thing

Hail Mary, full of Grace…

Tell mothers their children are gifts with gifts in them. Not slaves who who will give birth to more slaves.

The Lord is with you, blessed art thee…

Tell fathers the world is changing, toxic masculinity is not therapy for the trauma.

Amongst women, and blessed is the fruit…

Tell children; your parents are gods. Adore and revere them. But never be afraid to tell them how you feel or pursue your dream. Deal with your trauma before bringing another kid into this world. Honour and respect all humans equally, God is the greatest, and madu abuho chukwu.

Of your womb…

Parenting is a partnership between parents and their kids. And like all partnerships, as long as the other partner is rational enough to think, their opinion on matters that concern them should be considered, too. You can be a good man, a good woman, but if your kids are not doing well, you will be tagged a bad parent. What does it tell you? The child holds a stake in this parenting business. Consider, build and uplift them. Not entirely in the conventional way, but in the way that is convenient for you and them.

now and at the hour of our death, amen

Drive Past It

I stopped driving at 16 when I had my first accident. The cost of it all made me decide to let the keys go, like lovers on some bridge in Paris, after adding their locks to the teeming number that will cripple the bridge.

This is not a poem. And it is not about lucks or keys
or a kiss or about spoon feeding emotions
or trying to have a relationship
or driving a career worthy of a Fast and Furious adaptation or a Shakespeare narration.

This is to the one who has felt heartbreak close up but, like one of the blind asked to describe the structure of the elephant, will take my words with a pinch of salt. Add it to that part of your wound that a heartbreak caused, cover your cracks with it, do an Nsibidi inscription on your sensitivity.

Heartbreaks are bad for your Health.

Remember when I said I stopped driving, well, I will drive again, and again and again and again. That is how hearts get broken…and heal.

You love or trust or have certain expectations for/from people, their inability to meet up or match your expectations leaves you hurt, and now I have been summoned from Frankenstein’s grave to tell you this;

Don’t stop loving, don’t stop being optimistic, don’t stop expecting the best from people.

Don’t stop believing…
Don’t stop loving…
That is how hearts get broken…and heal enough to heal other broken hearts.

Rape Rep

I represent the biggest scums of the century.
I represent one of the greatest threats to women globally.

Your body is already a beautiful battlefield. A rose with thorns torn apart by it’s blueprint. It is not enough that your body cries rose-coloured tears monthly, some members of my gender have turned your pores into drawers for stashing away years of frustration. Tiny portals of escape, from which they seek prison-breakthroughs. Scofielding along your orchards, fuelled by animalistic passions.

Do something
That’s what I’m trying to say
Show me I am worth the pain, give me hope to a fault; tell me life has a meaning

That’s what I read in your diary
I am what you blame for dying, greet
One of the biggest
scum in existence
Women, they fear me
My favourite victims
…Men mostly in prison.
I am traumatizing

We’ve got a new brand for the parents
Comes with the power to pay rent
Found out I am recycling
Let’s leave the topic quietly
I’ve come from an old day
People started that way
Ignoring any volition
But theirs, until…

NIGHTMARE by Benjamin Skomorac

(Commentary by the Author Included)

With his mouth open with horror,
they run among
fragmented boulders of stones,
halfway between father and her,
little girls dressed in nothing,
terrified of strangers,
in the night while he forgets
toys somewhere;
as the father of the arrow,
which he throws straight into the sky
with a call for the innocence of suffering.

BOSNIAN TRANSLATENoćna mora

Otvorenim ustima od užasa,
Trče među
Rascjepkanim komadima kamenja,
Na pola puta između oca i nje,
Djevojčice obučene u ništa
Prestravljene od stranca,
U noći dok zaboravlja svoje
Igračke negdje;
Kao otac strijele,
Koje baca ravno u nebo
Uz doziv nevinosti stradanja.

COMMENTARY

The content of the lyrics of this poem hides many metaphors and hidden meanings. This means that the song Nightmare encourages thinking and searching for the deeper meaning of each word. Hidden motifs like “toys” or “arrows” paint the whole picture of trouble. Because of that, the song is called Nightmare. Father and daughter are the figures discussed here. The verses are sorted by pictures of distress. The song has a sad effect and a very important message for the whole world. Likewise, the verses mention innocence. So these people in the song are innocent and want justice for their people. In all this, the worst pictures are watched by children, watched by war, fighting and dying. These kids are dirty and hungry for the whole situation. Therefore, this is a message to the world that we need peace. We see tears and pain in the eyes of children. We are all sensitive to the baby crying that is painted in this song. Here we see salvation in a plea to God that can only help us deal with every problem. For the great God is always with us and always helps us in every trouble. That’s why we need to reach out to him and ask for help. Every believer knows that God always responds to our prayers. This song is a support and a strength for all the people in the world who are hungry and living a bad life! Emotions are stronger than any word!

Bosnian translation

Zato mu moramo pružiti ruku i zatražiti pomoć. Svaki vjernik zna da Bog uvijek odgovara na naše molitve. Ova pjesma je podrška i snaga za sve ljude na svijetu koji gladuju i žive loš život! Emocije su jače od bilo koje riječi!

The World’s Most Beautiful Bible

Magnificent bible that can be passed from generation to generation

If you ever had just one book… what book would it be? For most christians the answer is simple: it’s The Holy Bible. But what if the most important book of all this time could also be the most beautiful, sturdiest and important your family’s heirloom Bible? The one, which is passed from generation to generation: from you to your children and grandchildren.

Probably the most magnificent Bibles is Cassell’s Illustrated Family Bible, dated from 1840s-1860s, which is considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful King James Version Bibles ever published. With 1600 pages and more than 900 iconic illustrations and detailed maps, it had almost an encyclopedic value.

Paulius Virbickas, entrepreneur and publisher who has published over 1000 books found this Bible sitting on a shelf, covered in dust, in an old antique bookstore. It seemed like it was just waiting for him patiently. As he slowly opened its cover and started carefully browsing through old pages, he immediately understood – this is it.

Together with his team Paulius devoted almost a year to painstakingly restore the magnificent graphic illustrations and decided to launch a Kickstarter campaign for The World’s Most Beautiful Bible. Just recently their Kickstarter has surpassed 100% funding and there are still some time left for those who want to get this magnificent bible.

This is a majestic Bible that contains extensive commentaries in parallel columns, as well as a complete Concordance and a comprehensive Bible Dictionary:

• The extraordinary Holy Bible is over 1600 pages long and dramatically oversized (9’’x11,88’’)

• Original King James Version (KJV) – a translation that is so important, that it is considered to be a driving force in the shaping of the English-speaking world.

• Embossed cover with gold finishing & gilded book edge.

• Handmade solid wood box

• All pages are printed on acid-neutral non-fading archival quality paper, sewn into binding to last long usage and could be open flat

• 3 satin ribbons in black, red and gold to mark your favorite passages

• Personalized cover with your family’s name

• Printed and bound in Europe.

LOVE LIKE NO OTHER

It’s 4am in the morning

And one thing keeps me smiling

Feels like four Amens won’t do

When I hear of how much you love Jesus too

See there’s no other love quite like this one

He’s not just anyone, but The One

The Trinity: Father, Spirit, Son

This love renders one undone

Perfect present cleansing is this love

For me and you and 7 trillion others more

No truer song has ever been sung

Behold what manner of love the father has given unto us

This kind of love fills any void and colors in all grays

It’s how I draw each and every breath of my praise

This kind of love is untamed and unrestrained

Yes this love has a name, name above all names

Love so amazing (Amazon) it literally speaks life

Love so transforming; it’s 100% successful every time

Love so fulfilling it overflows: rivers of life

Love so immortal He never dies

If this love were a star, it would be a galaxy

If it were a drop, it would be the deep blue sea

If it were a minute, it would be eternity

It is something and simultaneously everything

Isn’t it odd that this Love is one so even

Isn’t it unforgivable the much we’ve been forgiven

Isn’t it inhuman his love for us humans

Isn’t it deep the height of this love from God for man

A free gift that paid the world’s most expensive debt

Blood-wash that leaves one white as snow

Removing the stains of sin, hurt, pain and regret

Priceless heirloom which on us was bestowed

Take a mirror and marvel: Love at work

Take a bible and Learn: Love’s architecture

Never was there any thing surer

Than this love of which we are born

The melody of my heartbeat is this love

The missing piece to every puzzle is this love

The song of my soul’s salvation is this love

The solution to every problem is this love

Sing aloud love’s song

Dance a jig for what love’s done

Love came for one and all

Love lives in all who answer the call

Like the season for this love I fall

Like the month I will march on and proclaim this love to all

This timeless gift is present and everlasting

It grows with every share, a love worth broadcasting

I relish in the thought of one day beholding love’s face

To see before me what was always within me: vase

Amazing love tis a sound so delish

I can only imagine what that would be

Oh the questions I’ll have when we meet face to face

Dear love, to be wrapped in your warm embrace

Yet somehow I feel all the questions may fade

But one thing I won’t hold back are the tears that’ll cascade

This love knew my pain and held on still

This love I threw away but he kept fellowship

This love I never deserved still he gave me him

This love I proclaim to see someday

Love that never led me astray

Love that always showed me the way

Love that made sure I was ok

Love is the reason I’m alive today

I dare say I love this love though so frail

For one thing, I’m sure would never fail

Is the love with which this love loves me every day

Hear me say I love this love once again

When once I tried my life to take

This love dove into my despair

When once I was shattered by heartache

My heart, this love, did mend and repair

When in doubt I stare at hopes gone

Love holds my hand and Faith restores

When words I cannot find to ease my heart

Love forms these lines that some call art

What’s in a name? What’s this love called?

This four-letter verb that has us enthralled?

The name, The Word, for a love so unique

That without it, my soul fades and my heart becomes weak

Perhaps when tomorrow will be in view

I would know what words could describe you

Perhaps my wonder as I stand in your view

Would let me see endless depths you love me through

This wonderful promise so amazing and true

It’s open to all, it’s available to you

Ready your heart for this gift we speak of

Christ’s unconditional and unchanging love

We testify of something so good for you

No need for diets you can’t overfeed on this truth

We write so you read and confess too

The love of God is true and for you

MY CRAVE STORY

Hey Fam, If you’re familiar with the life of Jesus, then those words would surely ring a bell.
Jesus was a man of many parables. He used them to illustrate, to amplify and to deliver his message.

By definition a Parable is “a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson”. Parables bear unending truths while being rendered in seemingly plain terms.
That’s what we’re going to be about this month; Simple Stories!

This is a call to everyone of us to use our parables to give life.
Simply; Tell a (fictional/ adopted) story of your choosing and either post on your page OR send directly to us (cravevillage@gmail.com) with the hashtag #MyCraveStory.

We will be sharing these stories just as Jesus did, and hope that through them we will give life as we were empowered to do.
You don’t need to be a scribe to write, all you need is a story and something else you already have: THE UNCTION FROM THE HOLY ONE… 🔥
