After reading this book I literally felt a wave of relief rush through out my body… I guess that’s what true freedom feels like.

Growing up in a Christian familiy, you get to hear the “holy” requirement of the gospel from allot of perspectives, I believe the most popular we all grew up with is that “if you do what is bad you will go to hell fire!”.  For me, that explanation was as close to home as getting whooped by my parents for breaking a ceramic plate or leaving the house dirty to go and play games outside on a Saturday morning.

However, the difference  between those perspectives and this one is that

“There is Life in these pages“.

Spiritual Make Up :  The Believers Beauty Kit brings the Truth of this victorious life we can live above sin and shame, closer to home. In fact it is so close that it actually begins to feel personal.

Today, many believers with a hunger for God, a burning desire to do His will and please Him are often downcast because of the weight of besetting sins. This often gets them wondering how?!

How do all these awesome spiritual promises about my salvation and victory and new life in Christ even relate to my personal, “real” life?

Trust me I know the struggle, I was there too. But cheer up brethren! There is hope here!

The beauty of this book is that you can hear your mothers voice teaching you in the simplest way how walking in righteousness and purity is as easy as brushing your teeth or taking a shower, or dressing decently. Spiritual Make up is funny yet so True, I often caught myself vigorously nodding in agreement to the simple truths the author so easily gisted out in text as I laughed because of how relatable it is.

The Life of Holiness and purity we the Born Again in Christ are to live is not a tedious one.. Nothing makes that fact clearer like this book. Living victorious and bearing the fruit of the spirit in our everyday life is as fluid as the air we breathe in and out daily without permission or any explanation.

This is by far the most refreshing book for anyone who desires to clear the airways of doubt, confusion and misunderstanding and just have a wonderful and unhindered relationship with Our Heavenly Father, our maker and Husband who loves us so much.

So sit back, grab a cup of tea and try to read this book where people are because I can assure you first hand that from the second page you’d be looking for someone to read aloud to as is the habit of those who love to share true stories that are good.

Nothing and Everything

The world is enraptured by an eery turbulence.

The kind that makes me want to step out of my skin and watch my flesh, blood and bones wriggle on the floor, half dead. She rides me like a wild horse and I am more than receiving of her deathly blows. She hates me, because You Love Me.

You, The Universe of the Universe. I am willing to die a thousand times to get away from her, she knows this, she is furious, because there has been no guilt in years, only this freedom that comes from swift forgetfulness. This silence that comes from immense helplessness.

But often now I ask, What must I do to be saved daily? Nothing He says, “Nothing and everything”, He smiles at me His smile is fire, I melt.  The place of surrender I do not quickly recognize till I have rebelled.

What would it take for you to open my eyes and keep them there? “Nothing and everything, sweetheart just STAY”… Let me never leave this place of sanity I beg. This battle its for True Life, I’m unashamed.

For me to rise again and again, the ultimate plan, the reason you came.

” just part of it my Bride, for this cause and much more I came, my honor on the line, an eternal law I had to obey, That being connected to you only in death could I LIVE and now you must do the same”…

Cold Love brought shivers down my spine, like breath forming misty smoke In the Presence of His divine…

” You staked it all when you chose to redeem, it was Life or death, you chose to Live”

Life has never been easier ever since, knowing fully well that the life I live now is His..

I saw in His eyes the Love of Loves, a burning wrath completely satisfied.

“Don’t you get it My Bride, I’ve seen it all, I know how it ends, before you had the choice, I chose to Live… I’d never leave my own, my depth in you calls me deeper, an eternal bond, a pull I can’t refuse, wait for me, I come quickly, I desire to be united with me, more than you think, Wait For Me…”

She began speeding down the road
A million miles per hour
A smile pasted on her face
Oblivious she was headed in the wrong direction.

Just imagine her short-lived disdain when the obstacle suddenly cut short her fairy tale ride and the last sound she ever heard was her cry…

She had her hands on the controls
Everything seemed right
So she figured,
She could afford to shut her eyes and enjoy the ride.
A ride, everyone had stamped as alright
Besides everybody was doing it now
…so why contrive?
What worked for them should definitely work in my different way for me
So freeway or highway she was definitely bound to end up this way anyway.

You can imagine the way that smile immediately turned upside down

No! literally it turned upside down
Because her head on collision with deception and betrayal
Hurt and disappointment
Crashed into the ill placed curb of destruction
Carefully camouflaged by a black and white track called lust
Which was so strong that she tumbled over and over again
Until she hit the ground hard enough to shake of thoughts of survival
Simply because she refused to read the red tall sign that cautioned quietly; STOP

So there she lay, on a bloodied road named Guilt
Dying a death another already did
Trying to pay for a life already paid for
She was what you may call Lost…

If she however would only open her eyes
Unlike Judas she may not fail so woefully at the sight of a possibility: A NEW LIFE
How she doesn’t have to hang from a rope
Because He already hung from a tree…
Endured a Calvary of sorrows
In exchange for her joy
You see, she will no longer be Lost
…or even worse condemned.
Where the sting of death ended was far from where the mark of Christ started
In fact it was non negotiable!
When Him who is Life held the keys to her eternal hell
He chose to set her free.

She must realize…
That like a corpse laid dead for four days
A word spoken from the very lips of creation was able to re-jerk a pulse so cold and far spent
Regenerate a heart so used and wasted
Turn a pot of clay into a vessel of Gold…
She must choose to realize
That she has only arrived at the CROSSroads
…where Grace and mercy meet.

But first she must open her eyes…

….And God said “Let there be…” and there was.

Amazing isn’t it? The idea of mind over matter, how thoughts and words can become material things. Its rather unfortunate that people pick their most faithless moments to try and materialize a spoon by saying ‘let a spoon appear right now in my hand!’ (Hahaha)its funny right? But it is very true that for words to give life, your mind must be in total agreement with what you say. Don’t think its impossible because it happens every single day. Remember when the words ‘I hate you’ or ‘You are worthless’ made you cry and actually consider the fact that maybe, just maybe you did not amount to anything and that week you ended up doing the most stupid things until you caught yourself and changed your view? Well that’s exactly what I mean. Its a chain reaction, a build up of emotion, an execution of words that changed your point of view, a combination of fragments that summed up into a force so influential, a force called… Power.

“Words Are Powerful”

You know no one can really point out who made that statement first, trust me the irony of the truth in those words is capable of striking a chord every time they are spoken, especially when I remember the fact that the phrase is in itself the most powerful statement anyone has ever thought to say.

Thoughts can make or kill a man but words would do either faster. Its common for people to talk without making an effortless effort to listen. Its difficult for people who know so much and have so much to offer, to be quiet and allow someone they least expect, offer them something small that could change their previous perspective of life or simply just improve it. Its amazing how the words someone said could trigger certain emotions in another person.
“You Just won the Lottery!”, don’t deny it you were actually excited till you realized that this was just part of the piece.(Haha!)

If letters were soldiers then words would be an army and their content, ammunition. The more relevant the content, the higher the possibility of winning a battle of words and making positive impact and possible influence on a persons life. Yes! A persons life, because people need to understand that change comes by first getting a person to buy into your vision, ‘ its the first block that builds the mansion’ need I say more.

“All we need is peace”. Words that ensured that Nelson Mandela’s Legacy never coughs as long as the earth remains in existence. The words we say matter a lot, the words we say shape, make, mould, build, break, destroy, condemn, uplift and downcast. We are most powerful when we speak. It is very essential that we bridle our tongue, people who have a plan and a focus talk with wisdom because they understand that words are seeds today and trees tomorrow. A wise man once said “Man is a speaking spirit”. We all must be clear on the fact that actions speak louder than voice… Not words… But the most powerful words are backed up by actions. It would be mindless and very empty to say ‘I love You’ and leave someone in need to suffer. Words bring out the contents of our heart… It is words that tell people who we really are!

You don’t just say nasty things to people because you can, or for the sake of having a tongue, words can be as sweet as honey and also as venomous as poison. Its really amazing yet strange to know that all men carry the power of creation and destruction in their mouth. To Speak is to make happen. “Until all men are free, we are all slaves”… Wise words of a mother that drove her son many years later to fight for freedom and equality of all people in America if that didn’t ring a bell then probably the Emancipation Proclamation would. It is very important that we mind what we say, because indeed if we stop and think then we would not speak like persons who did not see a need for simple reasoning in the first place.

Sometimes it’s so much easier to talk to a total stranger.
To tell someone you’ve never known,
Someone who has never known you or the things you may be going through…
It’s easier to tell your sad, compromised and totally one sided story to someone who has no clue about the real you.
Then again why do you always get surprised,
When the stranger gives you the exact advice you gave yourself?
Funny enough the stranger has only one point of view when it comes to your issue…. Yours!

A stranger will tell you exactly what you heard within you, A mirror of your own SELF.
A prism that bounces back the sharp light of deception that got you into this conversation in the first place.
And the one who cares is watching over you,
Praying that sooner or later you realize that you are sitting in front of a stranger.

He will condemn every one who put you in the misery of contemplating a change for the better,
Sear your conscience to all rebukes and reprimands that left you teary eyed
And tear you away from the warm embrace of correction into his arms of cold and empty…Comfort.

A father chastises the ones he loves, but you’d rather be a bastard than a son,
Because the level of reprimand didn’t equal what you had done,
Trading your birthright for a plate of steaming hot lies that constantly advice you to give this so called “unconditional Love” a think through,
But if only you knew it was a stranger you are talking to.

If you really know that destruction is the end of a path that seemeth right to a man, Then take the costly treasures of correction and move on, Not minding how many tears and falls it took to mould you, The potters perfectionist bid to shape you,
So remain low and endure the process,
The result is always golden and the end product priceless.
