Interstellar Footprints

Verses written in seconds
Told the chef I want Seconds
God will never forsake us
Fishers of men, he made us
Evidence and Providence,
Arrows meet a faith defence
I see life in Jesus lens
Yes, I’m one of God’s friends

I’m past my past arms, like I’m running in Naruto
Now there are miracles, even my shadow clones
I will look to the Word and rely on The Lord
Test or testimony, I’m passing with no qualms
He’s constant, na we dey pendulum up and Dan

My God wins fights, I just squeal and write Psalms
My job is to listen and speak, evangelist for instance
Without God, what’s the point of all the distance?
Got a couch in the room in his pierced hands
Holy Spirit Registered, Resurrected with Christ,
I work God brands, he’s the measure of my size
Alarm clocks celebrate the grace wey dey open eyes
And the Hallelujahs amen till the Lord arrives

What is one task when the Lord’s is the impact?

Jo sef
Wife be the mother of Jesus
Jesus!
Buy into truth, no be naira and cedis
Ten years later, still a legend of the CEDARS

Tall trees and the leaves read scripture
I’d be more of an owl than a vulture
I’ll be fasting from both food and the culture
Cap thing, Christ a poet with my suture
What’s more?
Mercy gave what I didn’t plan for
Christ in me was the only option
Tell me what’s up
Unsubscribed from the world, of course

Silent power
Saint Breathing but the form ninth taya
Seventh Seal and the hour of prayer
Holy Spirit Slashes, I’m a demon slayer
Buy into truth, no be naira and cedis
Ten years later, still a legend of the CEDARS
What is one task when the Lord’s is the impact?

Silent Power

If Silent Power had a name, Joseph would be it
Not Joseph son of Jacob
Not Joseph husband to Mary
But one Joseph who desired to see God’s kingdom come
He spoke and authorities listened
He did what the world fears to mention
He carried the dead body of not just any man or demi-god, but God himself
He fulfilled scripture because faith rendezvoused with wealth
Even when the news of resurrection spread
No one dared to accuse him of the Lord’s body
Sometimes I feel John the beloved might have a competition for the left seat besides Jesus while I watch from the right 😂
Humor me
That’s what silent power looks like

Chest Knot

Force yourself to sit.
Force yourself to wait.
Force yourself to trust.
Force yourself to forgive.
Force yourself to laugh.
Force yourself to write.
You can’t help that you fuss yourself—
So force yourself to leave the shelf
and let your path praise the Lord.

Bring me home, bring me home, Lord.
I’m looking for a different satisfaction.
Norm told us to steal and keep eating,
The team disbanded to hunt for new stories,
And the show goes on; the sun circuits still.
I need to practice letting God choose—
For present comfort is no guarantee.

Bring me home, bring me home, Lord.
Footsteps prince me a path through the din.
Hands that held my back now applaud my stumbling—
Speaking of my stumbling:
I was sipping last ones, hoping that the first won.
And the show goes on; the trump is still blown.
All my medals rust before the changing times,
for You, Lord, were my only true possession.

Bring me home, bring me home, Lord.
These scars will follow me into victory.
Rooftop farming—aura wasn’t the only fruit.
I have witnessed enough to shrug from a cloud.
Lord, please take the pen again; write me back to right.
Outside Your Word, there was treachery that paralyzed.
For You alone are truth,
and Yours walk beneath a different sky…

…beneath a different why.

Bring me home, bring me home, Lord—
everywhere I am.

Olorun Onile Oke

Olorun Onile Oke
God, the stronghold
In a world full of threats
I call you my Abo Oke
The one and only high fortress

The lord my eternal refuge,
Olu ibi Isadi
Your everlasting arms O Tobi Ju

With it you thrusted
Out my enemies from before me,
You silenced the voices That cried out threats

The threats that threatened to break all hell loose until my back hits the ground

You stood your ground In battle until their strongholds did rattle,
Mighty man in battle

Jagun jagun segun
You broke the gates of brass and cut the bars of iron in asunder

At the sound of my cry,
You caused the foundations of the hills to move,

You heard my voice
And the earth trembled,
You kissed away the tears from off my temple

Apata ayeraye,
The rock of ages,
My help,
In ages past,
You bowed down the heavens and came down

And when the thick darkness surrounding me saw you,
It took flight

My high fortress,
Because I have you I don’t even have to fight.

CHRIST FIRST!

Don’t say “Yes Lord”
When your actions say “No”
Don’t live to please the flesh
Above the ONE who says “me first!”

Go to the scriptures and learn from King Saul
A man anointed by God but lived to please his subjects first

God was put in second place
For he chose to please his people above His God

He lost not only his crown but also his throne
His honour and his life all gone in a flash

For Jesus said “No man can serve two masters
He will love one and hate the other
Therefore let no one or thing compete with God
Or take His place in our hearts
Turn it to prayer right now

Stand still

In a world full of compromises
And the Called are blending in
And we can no longer separate the wheat from the chaff
When so much pressure rests like a huge weight
On the weary backs of the saints
And there are treasures at stake
The battles rage on
Between light and darkness
Beyond the seen world and more in the heavenlies
Yet, in all these,
To the ones who have not kissed Baal
Who will not to him bow
Our Master whispers:
Stand Still.

In a time when the second coming of Jesus Christ
Seems like a fairy tale, passed on from one generation to another
Where the world has become busy with trivialities
And many now have opinions about the Word of God,
unsolicited, opposing and tainted with deception
Painted for mass reception
Leading to gloom and doom
Sponsored by the ruler of darkness, blinding minds with his art of deception,
To the few soldiers marching on, our Commander cries:
Stand Still!

Though the enemy throws his fiercest darts,
And fires his blazing arrows
Mounting on and causing chaos
Flashing now and then, enticing damnable vanities
Parading his tainted, costly riches and goods
In exchange for righteous souls
Hear our Saviour’s caution now
For our Redeemer still says, “focus on me” and:
Stand Still.

Be Still My Soul

Be still my soul
The Lord is in control

Be still my soul
There is more than you know

Be still my soul
The troubles are but smoke

Be still my soul
Christ is your assured hope

Be still my soul
You will be made whole

Be still my soul
See what the Lord has done
