Labels and False Identities

The world we currently live in seems to always have a name for someone or something that behaves or acts in a particular manner. “If it barks, its probably a dog…”, “If it hisses its a snake… “, “If he says he’s not had sex then he’s so lame”

By who’s standards are these labels made? And should one pick up that label and become what they say?

The world apparently is on a downward spiral. Morals and ethics have proven to hold no water as we could see in law suits, where truth is twisted by technicality.

But there is only one name that should matter to you and I. One label and identity that supersedes what the world may label us. “CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH”.

By this one identity, we have tapped into the bloodline that is steeped in grace and herded by a gentle, Holy Ghost. Who daily calls us to ensure we carry the family name and practice the family trade…Fishing, as fishers of men. We know that it is neither by power nor by might, lest any man should boast, thats why he said, “the race is neither to the strong nor to the swift…”, it may be as impossible as a camel passing through the eye of a needle, BUT… “With men, these things are impossible, but with God, all things a possible “. So don’t be suprised when the people of the world wonder why you are ready to be so submissive to one ordinary man, why they cannot comprehend how one person was willing to take the blame for everyone’s crimes in hopes that they’ll someday believe His story, why they do not get how we can proclaim “faith” and pray to a God no one sees. How can they? You cannot see through the eyes of faith if you do not have it. And so they label you, and call you names. But do not fret. Stand fast. Speak, preach, sing, rap, design, play, and proclaim the gospel of Christ. Do not worry after that, because for centuries, camels have been passing through the eye of needles.

The Harvest is Here!

Our vision statement as a team, in Isaiah 61:1-3 said something pretty interesting in the latter end.
“…that they may be called “oaks of righteousness”

This year God has laid it in our hearts to go out and bring in the harvest and announce that there is a harvest. God has commissioned us to do this till as many as would listen will be indeed oaks of righteousness.

We are grateful to all our sponsors and partners. Together we win!

The Harvest is Here!

THE FUTURE

It is a place of completeness
Where pregnant ideas are being actualized
With wills being fulfilled and inheritances collected
It tells of the fears of the night, written plans of the dawn
And the actions to execute for the day ever did happen or if they were just flight of the imaginations

It is the ‘Today’ of some, the ‘morrow’ of others and the ‘yesterday’ of many fathers
What lies there are revealed potentially settled situations and secrets hidden in the past
With the emergence of ‘new’ discoveries
The reason everyone strives to be there.

This future could beam, could be dim or may not exist
And chances of arrival at ones’ destiny grows bigger or slimmer
While Mack makes it to the finish line, Joan dies trying

This impact of decades ago makes rippling effects
Dreams fulfilled, targets achieved and some wishes killed
One becomes a king with just a glimpse of it
The reason man searches for it even before it arrives

It comes with hope
But its certainty is not by mere talk or show of strength but of a diligent mind
The expectations are tentative
But could be put in the right trade
With an exchange of time and life
An archive of words limited, actions increased and explanations shortened
One would reach optimistically and look back thankfully

It is the fruits of yesterdays’ seed sown
And the tree growing from the decades’ of continuous watered ground
While some would be termed mistakes
With regrets of “Could have, would have, should have been”
This future gives birth to the man he becomes
Yet as one is begotten, another dies

But there’s nothing new hidden under the sun
Nothing comes as a surprised to the earth
A continuous cycle of fashion, fame, love and war
Only with advanced-archaic methods
And progenies of the past events are shown once again
Yet that has never been the blueprint for the future

It is the end of the script, the cast of the play, more also the fade of the song
But if spelt out, where would the suspense be?
Hope will be killed and man’s ‘curiosity gene’ will be extinct
Leaving a devastating misery behind
So let the culprit be revealed, let the suspect confess, let the case be closed with three dots to the next unknown line

The future is you embalmed with time
Cause one or more lives could be tied in there
With links, no lines knitted to each other in one way or otherwise
And this future could be ours
If only we are ready to search it with all resolve.

The Walk Home

I already wished I never started this

I already know that I must do this

I’m already steps into the final lap

Home, my destination on this sullen track

The noise they make drowns into the silence

The pain I feel drowns into my weariness

The curse I bear charts this course to which I am bound

Home, my destination on this sullen track

My enemy sees me fall and rejoices

He thinks this end means victory for him

He can’t see my journey ends not on this tree

Home, my destination on this sullen track

Though this night lingers and this tree withers

My hope breathes fire, my purpose never wavers

Many think this a lost cause but I drew the map

Home, my destination on this sullen track

Beyond this night is a morning that forever glows

Beyond this failure is glory untold

Beyond this pain is healing, beyond this downfall is rising

Home, my destination on this sullen track

If the enemy had known better he wouldn’t bother

Like a pawn in this game he moves at the will of the Father

Making way for us kings and queens to walk the path to

Home, our destination on this sullen track

Yes He died, yes we fell flat on our back

Yes He rose again, yes we will get back on track again

Yes our journey never ends till we get

Home, our destination on this sullen track

Home is righteousness borne of the salvation Jesus brings

Home is peace everlasting the kind that passes all understanding

Home is joy and rejoicing in the victory of the risen King

Home, our destination on this sullen track

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love.

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

WORDS OF LIFE

With a bleeding pen we write,
No; we create.
Words so structured they can’t go unnoticed,
Words so piercing they cut through barriers.
We speak through ink and white sheet,
Our words warm every cold feet.

It’s not just a way of expression,
No; these words of ours are coined to
kick off depression,
bring liberation,
and give boldness for every affliction.

When we speak through written words, lives are transformed.
When we pen down our thoughts, minds are reformed.
We don’t just exhort,
No; we hope to give the very Life we have received.

A Life that gives joy in times of despair,
A Life that never goes stale nor needs repair,
A Life that keeps us burning bright in the dark,
A life that never gives up on us or turn it’s back.

Like a fountain our words flow unending.
Like the wind our words go forth ever flowing.
Like rain our words pour down unearthing thorns of bitterness,
planting a seed that brings forth fruitfulness.

Words unveiling the Father’s love,
Words revealing the one who exchanged His life for the sake of love.
Our words never dwindle, because they are freighted with the power of God.
We are a force and our words spread like wild fire.

We are an army
We are a Team
CHRIST is our message

A Quibble Over Lives Made Bland

This drivel slobbers down walled criss-crosses
Puncturing nature, mad rush of masses

Plotting future, cussing up hard present

To drop and collect at, yawn, blank descent

Where death wells up our high-hoping hormones
Monuments fade, marks we leave, wisp morose

Blown as dying kiss to loveless cosmos

We lunge forth for a taste of utopia

Our tongue’s toil bears us only dystopia

Our genius damned, our tombs sealed, our lights out
Forever, from fading leaves, dying flames

A call to abandon sisyphean aims

Shred our pacts with earth’s boom-bust cycle gods

And let God infinite rid us of sods

Murk that blinds our eyes, that makes our lives bland

LOVE LIKE NO OTHER

It’s 4am in the morning

And one thing keeps me smiling

Feels like four Amens won’t do

When I hear of how much you love Jesus too

See there’s no other love quite like this one

He’s not just anyone, but The One

The Trinity: Father, Spirit, Son

This love renders one undone

Perfect present cleansing is this love

For me and you and 7 trillion others more

No truer song has ever been sung

Behold what manner of love the father has given unto us

This kind of love fills any void and colors in all grays

It’s how I draw each and every breath of my praise

This kind of love is untamed and unrestrained

Yes this love has a name, name above all names

Love so amazing (Amazon) it literally speaks life

Love so transforming; it’s 100% successful every time

Love so fulfilling it overflows: rivers of life

Love so immortal He never dies

If this love were a star, it would be a galaxy

If it were a drop, it would be the deep blue sea

If it were a minute, it would be eternity

It is something and simultaneously everything

Isn’t it odd that this Love is one so even

Isn’t it unforgivable the much we’ve been forgiven

Isn’t it inhuman his love for us humans

Isn’t it deep the height of this love from God for man

A free gift that paid the world’s most expensive debt

Blood-wash that leaves one white as snow

Removing the stains of sin, hurt, pain and regret

Priceless heirloom which on us was bestowed

Take a mirror and marvel: Love at work

Take a bible and Learn: Love’s architecture

Never was there any thing surer

Than this love of which we are born

The melody of my heartbeat is this love

The missing piece to every puzzle is this love

The song of my soul’s salvation is this love

The solution to every problem is this love

Sing aloud love’s song

Dance a jig for what love’s done

Love came for one and all

Love lives in all who answer the call

Like the season for this love I fall

Like the month I will march on and proclaim this love to all

This timeless gift is present and everlasting

It grows with every share, a love worth broadcasting

I relish in the thought of one day beholding love’s face

To see before me what was always within me: vase

Amazing love tis a sound so delish

I can only imagine what that would be

Oh the questions I’ll have when we meet face to face

Dear love, to be wrapped in your warm embrace

Yet somehow I feel all the questions may fade

But one thing I won’t hold back are the tears that’ll cascade

This love knew my pain and held on still

This love I threw away but he kept fellowship

This love I never deserved still he gave me him

This love I proclaim to see someday

Love that never led me astray

Love that always showed me the way

Love that made sure I was ok

Love is the reason I’m alive today

I dare say I love this love though so frail

For one thing, I’m sure would never fail

Is the love with which this love loves me every day

Hear me say I love this love once again

When once I tried my life to take

This love dove into my despair

When once I was shattered by heartache

My heart, this love, did mend and repair

When in doubt I stare at hopes gone

Love holds my hand and Faith restores

When words I cannot find to ease my heart

Love forms these lines that some call art

What’s in a name? What’s this love called?

This four-letter verb that has us enthralled?

The name, The Word, for a love so unique

That without it, my soul fades and my heart becomes weak

Perhaps when tomorrow will be in view

I would know what words could describe you

Perhaps my wonder as I stand in your view

Would let me see endless depths you love me through

This wonderful promise so amazing and true

It’s open to all, it’s available to you

Ready your heart for this gift we speak of

Christ’s unconditional and unchanging love

We testify of something so good for you

No need for diets you can’t overfeed on this truth

We write so you read and confess too

The love of God is true and for you
