Everyday Jesus – Sunday (A poem)

Hello sunday
So soon
Here you are again
You evade our hearts
With some kind of feeling
“Go to church”

Blimey, sunday
A little observation
Men! Yes human beings
Most of them aren’t sincere
Whenever they see you
They adjust, and re-adjust to be called the just.
We are pretenders, offenders
We carry the bible on your evasion
Just to claim timed salvation
Poor decision, poor innovation

Listen sunday
There is a lot going on
Disgusting things.
On sunday, is when my fellas will carry their bible to read
Or even loud their stereo, listening to christian songs
Or even raise their voices, singing to be noticed.
O sunday, what have you brought on us?

Sunday, maybe I am the one getting this tough, so rough
Maybe it is not your fault
It is a default thing
Men invented it
We allowed the busy scene of life to get us carried away
Or you caused it?
Nooooo, not you
Nooooo, Not us
Ooooooooooooohhh!
I think it’s us
We are lazy
Lazy to face the facts
Enemies of ourselves
We are always carried away
Away, like a sheep.

Sunday, maybe it is not us
Maybe it is us…
Sunday, it is us…

EverydayJesus – The Mirror

The Bible does not help to point out to us our faults and imperfections so that we may correct or change them, contrary to what many people believe.

The Bible (mirror) on the contrary, helps us to constantly see ourselves for who our Father God sees us. He see us perfect people in Christ, without blame and Spirit born, a.k.a eternally made of Love!

The Mirror is therefore our constant reminder of our realities in Christ so that we can be quickened in our mortal bodies to act accordingly.

Our spirits are whole, complete and mature in Christ but our minds would never agree because they know very little.

We are ourselves spirits, because man is essentially a spirit.

If I choose to call our spirits lions, then I would simply say that our minds are kittens, not even a cub.

What we know in our minds usually influence our works or doings, and most times, our minds make us produce kitten( lower) behaviors as opposed to the lion (higher) works that belong with our spirits, our hearts.

Therefore, whenever we look into the word, we force our kitten minds to see the lion spirits we truly are. This makes us to act accordingly. The mirror principle works by helping us to constantly keep in touch with our most basic realities in the presence of the Father’s redeeming love.

You might ask why our minds love to be kittens. I’d just tell you that our mind is the faculty in our hearts that relates directly with the physical or natural realms via the portals of the five senses. That’s why.

The thing is, if your acts are wrong and you feel like you are not a fruitful Christian, here is what you would want to do:

  1. Go Receive the Father’s Loving-thing parcel, a.k.a the too good to be true news, the Gospel.
  2. Look in the word, the mirror; I repeat look in the mirror.
  3. Look in the mirror again for that’s the true legit thing you’ve got, I repeat, look away from yourself!

18 And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:18. AMP

…Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and , after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like…

(1) She has the passion to inspire people(of different ages)through her books, movies, songs and speeches; which we should also show forth in our dalily life ( and bring sustained sparks in people’s lives.

(2) She has a helping and faithful heart as shown by the help she rendered by adopting the three Haitian children and by having faith in God concerning her own biological son that came down with a heart disease at the early stages of his life.

(3) She shows excellence and creativity in all her works, which should also be part of our lives especially in whatever field we may be relevant in.

LOVE

Love was why He came, to heal, to deliver, to set the oppressed free.

With depth so deep, the oceans couldn’t compete neither could mountains and hills comprehend, love’s height surpassed them.

Love was why He died

Sickened with faults and guilt,

Dieing in pain because wrath inescapable came to us

A law so right and fair, made by Him

The King that rules the Kings

Yet He bore the curse and shame

To free us all from rage

Love is why he came

Dirty sins with gravity

Colours, sizes and weights that differ

Redeeming and restoring

Love is why He rose

Not for show of strength or power

But He went through the stress

Leaving Jasper and Emerald for dust

Skipping death after 3 days

Love is why He stayed

Never forsaking, never condemning

Love is why He bled

From sins not yet sinned and communion into recover

That in it life and health could be

Love is why He left

To give a way for another so pure and meek

To teach and comfort

And strengthen in time of need
