“ It has been said for many years that if the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that that is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long” (p.2)
Doesn’t it just annoy how you always have this big invisible and visible amount of work load you want to do and is expected of you, but somehow there’s never enough time? How you could plan and plan but somehow every task takes longer time to accomplish? Lemme guess you’ve even considered praying for extra hours included into our 24 hour per day routine. For starters, you’re not strange or even lazy as most people seem to call you! I know this cos I was once in those same shoes but good thing is I was never comfy in them neither did I settle for less so I fought on till I met my ‘frog-book’. Lols
The author, one of America’s leading authorities on the development of human potential and personal effectiveness, takes a critical look as to the cause and solution of procrastination, low effectiveness and other symptoms characteristic of people in them shoes I spoke about earlier.
With reference to the title, Tracy defines your “frog” as your most important task, the one you’re most likely to procrastinate on if you don’t do something about it now. It is also the one task that can have the greatest positive impact on your life and your results at the moment. (p. 2) The principle the author seeks to teach is that if you discipline yourself to begin immediately and persist until your biggest and most important task is complete before you go on to something else you can live at the height of productivity hence building your self esteem and ruling out all effects procrastination may have had on you!
“Successful, effective people are those who launch directly into their major tasks and then discipline themselves to work steadily and single mindedly until those asks are complete”(p.3)
Tracy’s unique style of writing is reflected in this masterpiece and on a lighter note I think it was written in a way procrastinators could finish it and do so quickly. So he craftily avoids over emphasis and long chapters and to incite interest he place a unique quote before a very chapter. That I think is genius! So before I rewrite his book do get one and remain blessed!

WITH GOD IN IT…

Shhhh!!!
And the Lord God breathed into his nostrils
And he became a living soul

Leading the life He lent us
Yet with our mouths we confess

Is normal, ordinary, common?
Well yes!
That’s what we are
Normal, natural, ordinary
But when God steps in to the picture to make our heart His habitation
Then the para super extra part of us gains life
Yes life
And what great potential we would realize even in this life
Yeah I see the disbelief behind the sneer
And who am I to judge if I too was once there
Well here’s sufficient proof as to the truth
The bible might just be a book
But with God in it
It stands the greatest most complete book on history’s hook
The boy David was just a shepherd boy
But with God in him
He became the greatest king Israel will ever know
Gideon should have been the lowliest of men
But when God stepped into the picture
He won ridiculous battles and ruled even the highest of men
Mary could have been just another Israelite virgin
But with God in her womb to mature
The world will forever remember her name at Christmas
Samuel should have been some ordinary altar boy
But from the day God called his name
He became a worthy priest, he anointed kings and a great prophet he was
Rahab could settle for being a prostitute
But when God chanced upon her home
She saved her whole family inserting her name in the family line of Jesus Christ
Esther could as well remain the favored queen
But with God in her words and heart
She saved her nation from extinction
Joseph could have ended up as Potiphar’s chief servant
But with God in his decisions
He somehow made it to the throne as prime minister
The Samaritan woman had some pretty wrong logic
But an encounter with God
Made her one great evangelist storied of in the bible
Of course you may worth nothing
But if you let God in
You could be greater than the man in your dreams
Tomorrow may be the dawn of another year
But with God in it
Its sure to be the greatest you’re yet to experience
Little is much when God is involved
The truth remains simplistic
I hope you do get it

Here’s what I really wanna say
With God in it
Even impossible reads I’m possible
This might be just another poem, well great!
But with God in it
It could bring about the change your heart desires, better!
So don’t you be quick to confess as to your inabilities and inadequacies
Just let God in
and experience what it feels to be a KING!

#I DARE YOU TO FINISH THIS# “A TRUE LOVE STORY”

More than any other girl I have ever laid my eyes on, there was something so different about this particular one.
The attraction was so much but I assure you it was not the beauty. This one felt like it reflected from my inside, a split image of what my missing rib would feel like, so all defenses were gone; I got close and we started spending time, with time I got so used to her and then gave all my heart-in, perhaps my first mistake because that was where my hurting began and it was more than I could take.
I came to visit her on one occasion and discovered she had something I clearly recognized belonged to a one time friend of mine, in her bedroom. The fact that she not only denied but also blamed me for no good reasons when I tried to confront her seemed less disheartening to the choice she made when she told me she just chose him against me.
See that is just the beginning of my story, but I loved this girl so much at the time that all she did really hurt, but I could neither get close nor let go, so I just watched from a distance hoping the dude would slip up and then I could show her just how much a mistake she had been making. Years passed and I still tried baking cakes to remember our anniversaries and on one of those days, I cried so much I almost drowned in my own tears so I promised myself never to hurt that much again.
Being the smartest guy alive, I started on a perfect plan to win her back.
The more apart we were though, the stronger her bond with the other guy who was so shameless and annoying, he treated her like filth and not like the queen she was but always had a way to lure her on with lies, well I was always sincere, poor me. See I am not taking this personal but I know him well enough; he is just doing this to get to me and it is working. He was my friend and he knows how much I love and cherish her.
Hold on, if at this point you have not realized that she is to blame or you are insisting that I have not suffered enough, you should go back and read between the lines, I have had to narrate this story of heart break and this girl still complains that I do not understand her decisions, well I guess I am that dumb.
Do not judge me, but I got close to a friend of hers who I told to help in a way, return her friend’s heart back to me. Do not guess, she also went dark side and her own story even seemed worse than that my friend who snatched the only person I would ever love from me. This girl actually went ahead to connive with my friend to keep the love of my life bound in that stupid relationship.
I soon realized that it seemed somewhat of a thousand years in my eyes as I watched the days go by so I made a decision to go all in, if I would fight, cheat or even die in the process I was going to get her back.
You want to know if it went right. #coughs# okay I would explain and then leave you to decide if it worked or not.
We actually got engaged, stay with me, got married and I thought that was it, I won in the end. Then something came up, I had to leave her to go abroad, build a house and then I can come and get her so she would come join me. Before you say I left too soon and judge me, I actually left her with all she would ever need, and thank God for communication, we found a way to always stay in contact. I just wanted to take her to a place where I would have her all to myself.
Now the heart break, so great it grates my whole being when I think about it. Call me obsessed but I also left cameras in all places to know how she is doing, so no hurt can come to her…. But the things I see, the things I see flows from diverse ill habits and adultery from one day to another, do you want to guess who she was sleeping around with?
Well she is not always the worst kind of girl anyways from my own observations, I have seen her get really determined to keep herself in our relationship, but then it is either her friend comes in again or she just slides back to her former lover forgetting she was married.
I desire all of her, please do not judge her because you do not have the right, I am the one she has been hurting, my father even got to know about all I have been going through, I am done with my preparations but I do not know how I can bring her to my father now that he is not pleased with her ways, I know He would ask me how we were doing and I never lie.
I would go soon and I hope she would even be faithful when I arrive, this story would not be well told even if it was sang by two people in a duet, so I write to you from outside earth, I know my girl is not wicked, I love her, I just wish she would stop feeling insecure and remain with me, realize I am coming back, that is all I want, to have her all to myself. My own missing rib, my own image, but now I see her through broken mirrors, it hurts, and it hurts badly, with tears in my eyes, blood on my palms, forgiveness in my heart…. Since you have so much neglected my voice, now I have decided to write to you instead….. I am just an oracle and the narrator is my master, so this is most likely what His relationship story with you would be, if Christ was a poet.

WHaT is LOVE?

Most of us would say that you love someone when their happiness is very important to you, so that you behave in a kind and caring way towards them Or you feel romantically or sexually attracted to them, and they are very important to you.
But what really is love?
God is love. And love is God’s unconditional positive regard towards us. According to John 3:16. God had great love for the inhabitants of the world (humans) that he gave his only son for all our sins to be washed away, that we might not perish but have everlasting life. And this can only happen if we believe in him.
The love of God brings everlasting life and this everlasting life is abundant for every single person that exist on earth. You were created to worship God. He loves you.
When you go within, you know that your core (your very being) is made fully of love. This is God’s love. So pure and genuine. And all we can do is share that love with ourselves and others.
The bible says in the book of John 15:9-14 that the same way God the Father loves us, is the same way that Jesus loves us and he wants us to continue in this love by keeping his commandments and abiding in his love. In doing this, the joy of the Lord would remain in you and your joy would be full.
This is the commandment Jesus gave before leaving earth, that we should love one another as he loved us. There’s no greater love that a man can have than to lay down he’s own life for his friends. And he ends it by saying that we are only his friends if we do whatsoever he commands us to.
What kind of love do you have for your friends? Do you know Jesus and have you told your friends about him? Do so today and you will see a great transformation in you life.

SPEAK to SAVE

Telling people about Jesus is the Best thing that can happen to anyone. The more you delay serving the Lord, the more you are slowing down and running away from God’s blessings. The thing is the more the delay, you are not only slowing yourself down, but you are slowing other people down too. These are the people you are supposed to be telling about Jesus.
Literally, you are slowing down the growth and prosperity of these chain people because you haven’t told them,so they can’t tell others. What are you waiting for? Do you know that the more you tell people about him, the more you understand him. Begin to tell people about Jesus. Don’t be selfish about it. He saved you and wants to save others. One soul means a lot to Jesus. Do not hide that soul from Jesus by not speaking to that soul.

The author introduces the book by challenging the hypothetical attitude of people created by the shroud of shame when seen with a copy of this book; a tool which in the words of the author has been used devastatingly by the devil to wreck havoc on millions. He also introduces SEX as Satan’s biggest tool of bondage on earth today, weakening the moral fibre of the body of Christ through just about every available means. Hence, he then continues to fully outline the amount of damage already done by this renowned enemy and the impending repercussion of not addressing it.
Lust in his words can be defined as strong desire for that which is forbidden (p.17) and it stands a great tool for the enemy till date. To foster his plot the enemy has devised various loopholes normally referred to as thought patterns. These, the author seek to challenge and caution Christians against in the information provided in this book. This a wake-up call for every child of God to confront the spirits of looseness and lust.
Rather than sit around and wait, the author doesn’t stop at the problem recognition but he goes on to explain the way out! Glory to God! By the help of the Holy Spirit the author uses an amazing choice of words to reveal a pathway out to a place of total freedom! This I believe is the core of the book and if any Christian should live a victorious Christian life especially in the area of sexual sins no matter the variations (i.e fornications, pornography, lesbianism, homosexuality, masturbation, adultery, bestiality e.t.c) if they would diligently follow the principles laid out in this book to the latter. Purity is possible!
With its easy to read formation of writing and its obvious portability anyone can successfully source out the priceless principles within it. The book is primarily bible-based and it is well punctuated with passages, parables and verses from the Bible. It stands a tool towards great transformation in our time and a great resource material to have and to hold.

FACING THE GIANTS – The Review!

A movie is many things to as many that see it!
This movie opens us up to the life of Coach Grant Taylor who’s obviously not having a field day with his career, family and life in general. As a good christian, he takes his misfortune in good faith but at the time we could get a peep into his life the problems in his life were definitely mounting to a fatal peak which would in the course of the film define the course of his life in the nearest future.
Coach Taylor’s character I believe represents all the millions of believing christians struggling in their lives. Sadly, most have come to their unfortunate end whilst still in this position. This I’ve come to agree is synonymous to the verse in th bible:
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof…” 2 Tim 3:5a
However in this wonderful motion picture we watch how Coach Taylor and any in His shoes can get out of the valley of depression and the burdensome cares of this world and rise to the heights of God’s grace and a limitless problem free life of joy and peace which in reality is HIS promise for us from the beginning!
The movie also reveals the word of God as a manual for life. With several manifestations of God’s miracle working power and a careful study and obedience of the word, we watch as lives transform and the most amazing testimonies abound! The place of prayer is in no way undermined in the character of Mr. Bridges who practically prays a revival to the school and also serves as an encouragement source for Coach Taylor. The amount of wonder that can be wrought by the word of God and prayer could never be understood and a glimpse into the beauty is what this film portrays.
With a cast well loaded with talent this amazing story produced into a motion picture by SHERWOOD PICTURES might as well be referred to as an epic tale but I guess I’ll hold my horses awhile. The message contained in the scenes are beautifully and intelligently portrayed with very laudable graphic, dramatic and artistic perfection.
The movie is directed by Alex Kendrick and stars Alex Kendrick, Tracy Goode, James Blackwell, Shannen Fields, Bailey Cave amongst others. The story on which the movie is based was written by Alex and Stephen Kendrick. The movie also contains some songs from a personal favorite – Casting Crowns. In general the film is an absolute masterpiece meant for every man, woman and family. The lessons that could be learnt from this movie are beyond words. So I’ll just let you go get a peep, then possibly we could do a chat or something on what we learnt! Lol
