And I was taught that the characteristics of living things were MR NIGER D or MR NIGER LAC at times
So one of the attributes of my living is to die, but when we are not getting enough from the full bucket of grace we sing for the Spirit to fill our cups only so we can live how we want and in the end we just kick the bucket, and return to dirt.

Pardon me, but how ironic is it that you have been made to believe that the characteristic of an actual living thing is death?. So you lack a life span because when you try to fight with good intentions and it seems hard you just quit after all if you can’t beat them all you have to do is join in, am not a weakling it’s called adaptation, so if we compete through life then I am done with all my duties on earth as a man and my mission is finally complete.
No, but this is war, really are we ready? Continue reading

SUBTLE

She began speeding down the road
A million miles per hour
Blindfolded
A smile pasted on her face
Oblivious she was headed in the wrong direction.

Just imagine her short-lived disdain when the obstacle suddenly cut short her fairy tale ride and the last sound she ever heard was her cry…

She had her hands on the controls
Everything seemed right
So she figured,
She could afford to shut her eyes and enjoy the ride.
A ride, everyone had stamped as alright
Besides everybody was doing it now
…so why contrive?
What worked for them should definitely work in my different way for me
So freeway or highway she was definitely bound to end up this way anyway.

You can imagine the way that smile immediately turned upside down

No! literally it turned upside down
Because her head on collision with deception and betrayal
Hurt and disappointment
Crashed into the ill placed curb of destruction
Carefully camouflaged by a black and white track called lust
Which was so strong that she tumbled over and over again
Until she hit the ground hard enough to shake of thoughts of survival
Simply because she refused to read the red tall sign that cautioned quietly; STOP

So there she lay, on a bloodied road named Guilt
Dying a death another already did
Trying to pay for a life already paid for
She was what you may call Lost…

If she however would only open her eyes
Unlike Judas she may not fail so woefully at the sight of a possibility: A NEW LIFE
How she doesn’t have to hang from a rope
Because He already hung from a tree…
Endured a Calvary of sorrows
In exchange for her joy
You see, she will no longer be Lost
…or even worse condemned.

Because…
Where the sting of death ended was far from where the mark of Christ started
In fact it was non negotiable!
When Him who is Life held the keys to her eternal hell
He chose to set her free.

She must realize…
That like a corpse laid dead for four days
A word spoken from the very lips of creation was able to re-jerk a pulse so cold and far spent
Regenerate a heart so used and wasted
Turn a pot of clay into a vessel of Gold…
She must choose to realize
That she has only arrived at the CROSSroads
…where Grace and mercy meet.

But first she must open her eyes…

i GOT skillz! … (so WHAT!) part 2

Ok I know it’s been a while since I pasted the first article on this topic and I’m absolutely sorry. Today we are going to start handling concepts I merely brushed over in the last episode and I will love for you to follow intently as we delve deep into these waters to find truth and better understanding towards greater expression of our God-given talents.

PURPOSE

If you read the last article on this piece you would agree that I did talk about this but in the general sense. Hence I said

…whatever talent(s) you are gifted with has two
ultimate purposes which include to further
better our world and to bring glory to God
(Revelations 4:11;Romans 8:19).

This is true in all cases but the angle I want to hit this would be from a more specific standpoint. They say if the purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable. This I have come to find out is very true if not an absolute. This makes me to understand that lack of defined purpose or ignorance of defined purpose is proportional to little or no productivity. This is the plague that our 21st century world is burdened with. We complain of how so much is going wrong and no one seems to be doing anything about it, so we are ignorantly conned into thinking the problem is one of roles (people not doing what they are supposed to do) instead of the faulty foundation of purposelessness we chose to build our lives on. This problem may not be one that is generally accepted but it has eaten deep into the cores of our very social structures that it can no more be ignored.

So then what is Purpose:

reason for existence: the reason for which something exists or for which it has been done or made
Microsoft® Encarta® 2009. © 1993-2008 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

For as much as I know this is true. However, it is quite disturbing that this topic receives as much neglect in our present generation. You see we are able to master technology and we know what to use for what but we seem totally unaware of the purpose of our own existence and we don’t seem a bit perturbed or bothered.

Let me try and put it this way, every part of your body has a purpose and by that I mean a specific use or contribution to the sustenance of your body. Now, does it make sense that all these parts would be put together ever so perfectly for no just cause or as I would like to say no defined purpose? I doubt that.

The same goes for your unique set of natural endowments or talents. You may not know this or you may not agree totally with my thesis but you can do what you can do for a certain, very specific purpose. You see, the world is a system much like your human body. It has many parts of which you’re one and though not all parts can be seen on the outside, every part plays very important roles that make the system whole and effective. You are not like everyone else. You have your unique set of abilities and your unique goal to reach using those abilities. This in essence means that not every Tom, Dick and Harry that can sing well should end up on a stage as a rock star. This is not a function of fate alone but of desired purpose. Get this straight God created you to achieve a goal and your talents they are only tools you’re going to require in fulfilling that all important goal for which you were created in the first place.

This is very important for you to understand ‘cos no matter how good your intentions are if you are operating outside the grid lines God set for you in the blue prints of His master plan for your life you’d be doing a whole lot of wrong to this world and not even know it.

I know you’ve got the talent but with that comes a responsibility to not only discover this uniqueness about you but to also know why and what goal you are meant to achieve with them. A friend mine said

“the difference between the employee and the employer is that the employee knows how but the employer knows why

God bless y’all. Have a great day

POWER IN THE SPOKEN WORD

….And God said “Let there be…” and there was.

Amazing isn’t it? The idea of mind over matter, how thoughts and words can become material things. Its rather unfortunate that people pick their most faithless moments to try and materialize a spoon by saying ‘let a spoon appear right now in my hand!’ (Hahaha)its funny right? But it is very true that for words to give life, your mind must be in total agreement with what you say. Don’t think its impossible because it happens every single day. Remember when the words ‘I hate you’ or ‘You are worthless’ made you cry and actually consider the fact that maybe, just maybe you did not amount to anything and that week you ended up doing the most stupid things until you caught yourself and changed your view? Well that’s exactly what I mean. Its a chain reaction, a build up of emotion, an execution of words that changed your point of view, a combination of fragments that summed up into a force so influential, a force called… Power.

“Words Are Powerful”

You know no one can really point out who made that statement first, trust me the irony of the truth in those words is capable of striking a chord every time they are spoken, especially when I remember the fact that the phrase is in itself the most powerful statement anyone has ever thought to say.

Thoughts can make or kill a man but words would do either faster. Its common for people to talk without making an effortless effort to listen. Its difficult for people who know so much and have so much to offer, to be quiet and allow someone they least expect, offer them something small that could change their previous perspective of life or simply just improve it. Its amazing how the words someone said could trigger certain emotions in another person.
“You Just won the Lottery!”, don’t deny it you were actually excited till you realized that this was just part of the piece.(Haha!)

If letters were soldiers then words would be an army and their content, ammunition. The more relevant the content, the higher the possibility of winning a battle of words and making positive impact and possible influence on a persons life. Yes! A persons life, because people need to understand that change comes by first getting a person to buy into your vision, ‘ its the first block that builds the mansion’ need I say more.

“All we need is peace”. Words that ensured that Nelson Mandela’s Legacy never coughs as long as the earth remains in existence. The words we say matter a lot, the words we say shape, make, mould, build, break, destroy, condemn, uplift and downcast. We are most powerful when we speak. It is very essential that we bridle our tongue, people who have a plan and a focus talk with wisdom because they understand that words are seeds today and trees tomorrow. A wise man once said “Man is a speaking spirit”. We all must be clear on the fact that actions speak louder than voice… Not words… But the most powerful words are backed up by actions. It would be mindless and very empty to say ‘I love You’ and leave someone in need to suffer. Words bring out the contents of our heart… It is words that tell people who we really are!

You don’t just say nasty things to people because you can, or for the sake of having a tongue, words can be as sweet as honey and also as venomous as poison. Its really amazing yet strange to know that all men carry the power of creation and destruction in their mouth. To Speak is to make happen. “Until all men are free, we are all slaves”… Wise words of a mother that drove her son many years later to fight for freedom and equality of all people in America if that didn’t ring a bell then probably the Emancipation Proclamation would. It is very important that we mind what we say, because indeed if we stop and think then we would not speak like persons who did not see a need for simple reasoning in the first place.
