MY DAILY LIFE

Wakes me up with His love
Brushes my mouth with His smile
Bathes me with His blood
Clothes me with His righteousness
Adorns my hair with His beauty
Shod my feet with His peace
Leads me out with His arm of protection
To the path He’s straightened out for me
I appear before men
Just to them, see! It’s all about Jesus
End of day’s work
To the shelter of the abode
Engages me with a chat in His word
Opens my book with His wisdom
Reads to me with understanding
Sets the dinner of His presence before me
That I might eat till filled
Lays me to bed with prayer
Saying: “MINE, sleep in me”…

A DESPERATE CRY

Looking out of my window
Shining brightly through the clouds
The sight of a new moon I see
Ready to get my feet up
Just then it stung
Thinking what it could be
Then another sting
Tried to find it
Seems it’s the thin air.

Reaching to the door
All with struggle
Darkness I see
Began then to wonder what this is
Light to darkness!
What on earth!
Groaning in pain
Called for an aid
No response, just blank

Called my mama, blank!
Called my papa, blank!
For all seemed empty and lost
Left alone I was
Cried and cried
For the more the shout,
The more the pain
Shed tears from white to red
Helplessly calling for help

Now to whom?
Just then it struck
JESUS!
Yes, JESUS
Shouted with the last breath
JESUS!
Then it happened
A bang, a war, commotion, noise
What a happening?
Darkness giving way to light
Yes! Oh! It is happening

And then, a touch!
Light, softly, soothing
Pulled me up
On my feet strong I stood
For the pains gone
All’s done just because
Jesus is come.
Through the troubles and the stumble
Don’t struggle, just remember to shout
The name JESUS!!!

KEEPING FAITH

When trouble runs me down and rumbles fill my life
When problems become sand and disappointment turn to water
So that I can hardly walk or drink,
When it seems like my efforts are
Useless and mu abilities are in doubt,
I will fly neither to the moon nor to the stars
But move up higher into the region
Of faith in the pain I shall find fame,
And in the disappointment,
I shall find appointments
For I have a wonderful God that shall
Make all things well for me…

FINDING SOLACE

When faces make me cry and situations make me mad,
When my plight envelops my flight ad my hopes are out of sight,
I will not run to the east or to the west
But move away from the crest of sadness
And go closer to the fruit of patience
In the stress, I shall find peace
And in the storm, I shall find calm,
For I have a good God that will make all things to be well.

AN EXCHANGE

What a mighty God we serve,
What a great king we have,
What a bounty gift He gave,
The gift of His only son,
To die for a fallen race,
Seeking that which was lost,
for the benefit of the lost,
It was an exchange!
A life for a life…

Right on a tree
His son wriggled in pain
Taking my place,
Soothing my pain,
Erasing my sins,

Calling my name,
Jesus, my saviour, my joy, my hope…
Right now, the decision is up to me,
Accepting His sacrifice of love or
Seeking my own futile ways…

At first I didn’t understand you
It all looked like another lie
How can you tell me you were in love with me?
Yet all I see is all you never promised
Oh now you would say its my fault
Or maybe I didn’t do the right thing
But its all your fault; because you have all the money
You have all the power and I’m weak;
All the houses yet I live on the streets
What is there to enjoy in this relationship anyway
But now I know better; and best is so far
Finally I said yes to your proposal
Now I feel like a king
I give myself away!!!
Your protection, is over protective
Faithful in my unfaithfulness, merciful and longsuffering
You filled my insides with yourself
Now I’ll deliver as you have always wanted
But you’re so patient, that I’d learn
I stray and you stay, preserve and protect, bless and use
I blame you, you never blamed me
You warned me not to go that way but still I did
Now I see ills and pour the hates on you and I now return again
What would you have me do? You three in one

He said you would come; he said you’ll never leave
When you came, you searched for me
I know where you found me
You explained him to me; I thought I knew so much
You taught me what he said you will,
You only spoke the truth

Here I am now living all by myself
You talk in that voice and push but i resist
Must I do this evil to all who truly love me?
But then I realized you’re not a feeling
You are more real than my heart bat
The almighty; my best friend who has my interest

The other day you suggested what i wear, I did
The other day you suggested what read I didn’t
The other day you suggested what I eat, I did
The other day you brought them my way; I misunderstood
I always want to cheat on you
For getting that you got there before me

Wish you’d stop suggesting and just make me do it
This choice in a choice I made had really killed me
I lost you, but big brother brought you
Please never leave me again
You are the best friend I’d ever have; please one thing i ask
Can we be intimate? Cos I love to love you

MY TESTIMONY part 2

The best elder brother you’d ever have
Gave up his inheritance when I lost mine
Appeared weak just to give me power
Other servants could have done it but he decided to do it on his own
Daddy didn’t need to ask twice

Not knowing he was the one, I spat on his face
Called enemies to scorn and put him to shame
if only he had told me who he was
If i had known it was all for my sake
But my decisions didn’t change his

Broke his heart but he was bent on mending mine
His love for family made him shed his blood
He kept at it till he had no more blood to shed
Now I can speak to father because of him
He promised to return, and I have missed him

Hope I’m still following in his footsteps
Cos really my big brother is the biggest hero in history
Broke every law science would make
Spoilt mathematics when he said two equals one
The first master to ever wash a servant’s feet

Then when he needed me I denied him
But now I know better than to go through this alone
For he told me to do just one important thing for him
Go and preach!!! So i pledge allegiance
To you my Saviour
