WWF: DEFENCE(TRANSPARENCY vs LIES)

Why do people find it difficult to provide for honest things, both before God and men?

Why do people tell lies?

People tell lies to hide the real situation about whatever matter of concern. They lie to defend themselves, so they claim.
Hmm…
But what about transparency, I mean being absolutely sincere? For sure, transparency is the true and complete defence. Outwardly, transparency may look unbearable and peace-sabotaging at the beginning, but it’s certainly peaceful in the end, and a freedom-giver from every manipulation and oppression of the devil it is.
In a nutshell, I will say, God is a defence and lies are also a defence (according to liars’ belief). But in reality, lies don’t defend in the end.
So, I ask you, Who is your defence, God (transparency) or the lying spirit (a demon)?

Psalm 94:22
“But the Lord is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.”
Psalm 89:18
“For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our King.”

Let this be the sincere declaration of your heart and mouth henceforth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

CONSEQUENCES OF LIES

1. It complicates issues. Abraham’s, Isaac’s and David’s cases. Gen. 12:10-20, 20:1-18, (emphasis on 11-12), 26:6-11, 1 Sam. 21:1-2, 22:6-23.
David told a lie that cost the lives of a whole city of priests, both men and women, children and sucklings, and animals alike.

2. It does not actually defend in the end. It rather exposes and brings shame. It makes people lose their trust in us. So, lies doesn’t help, contrary to our belief. Proverbs 12:19.

3. It cuts life short. Rachel’s story. Gen. 31:25-35, 35:16-20. Ananias and Sapphira’s story. Acts 5:1-10.

Let me also tell you that, Lying spirit (demon) is one of the seducing spirits of the latter times, in which we are. 1 Tim. 4:1-2. And God passionately hates lie. His warning against this demonic habit, like a scroll, runs through the pages of the Bible, from the Old to the New Testament. Zechariah 8:12-17, Psalm 12:1-3, Ephesians 4:25.

Let me say further,
As followers of Jesus Christ, when we tell a lie and claim is for a defence, it only suggests to me that we have not yet fully come to the end of ourselves. We have not died the worthy death expected of us in Christ Jesus. Because if we have truly given our life to Jesus, what life are we then trying to defend? It is either we have not given our life to Jesus, or we don’t know who we are in Christ Jesus, or yet we gave Him our life and we are now quickly borrowing it from Him.

I tell you, the last case is actually the situation with many of us. We just love borrowing our life from Jesus for a while, to satisfy our fleshy desires with it. And some are more frequent in this act than the others.
And though God is merciful and forgiving in nature, yet surely the Bible says all liars (that is, all categories of liars) shall have their part in the everlasting fire. Revelation 21:8. So, irrespective of how you look at it, a lie is a lie and attracts the same judgment as other sins. If you love making lies and you don’t stop it now and choose to passionately hate telling lies in your heart and mind, without may be your place in the end, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. You can’t ever come into the city of God. Revelation 21:23-27, 22:14-15. But the Blood of Jesus is available today for cleansing.

In close, let’s read Romans 6:14, Galatians 2:20 and Colossians 3:3-4, even as we pray.

PRAYER: Thank You Father for Your Word of life. We receive Your Word by faith and as the only truth for us. Therefore, we say, our sins of telling lies and the rest are forgiven us in Christ Jesus. His Blood cleanses us from all sins and unrighteousness.
We say with God’s faith in our heart that,
-Sin, lying spirit shall not have dominion over us: for we are not under the law, but under grace.
-We have been crucified with the Lord Jesus: Nevertheless we live, yet not we, but Christ lives in us: and the life which we now live in the flesh, we live by the faith of the Son of God; Who loved and still loves us and gave Himself for us.
-We are dead, and our life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall we also appear with Him in glory. Amen.

So, we stand to defend Christ always. While our Lord Jesus defends us always in all things. We are not trying to defend ourselves by telling a lie anymore. The Owner of our life, our Lord Jesus Christ, defends it. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Grace!

GO GET YOUR PULPIT! (Its already tuesday!)

(Photography by: tomassobekphotography.co.nz)

As I write this, I have a conviction I am speaking not just to you but to the gift that’s lying within you crying out for expression.
I was just sitting out on the balcony strumming my guitar while enjoying some leisure thinking when a thought breezed through my mind…

“The creatures earnestly wait for the manifestation of the sons of God”

For a long while in my life I thought I got the whole point in this scripture but as I sang on, this same words came to mean even more as this scripture opened up right before me just like an onion bulb (testimony to the endless nature of God’s word).

Now, needless to say, many Christians would agree with me that we all were created for a purpose and underlying this purpose is the one great commission:
This is universally and unquestionably true but in our pursuit to fulfill this God given assignment, most people have innocently or in most cases religiously thwarted the purpose of God for their lives leading to frustration, dissatisfaction, struggling and in some cases, total relapse into old and sinful habit or even collapse of faith all of which are not what God promises in His word!

“…For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

Nonetheless, the major cause of this issue is usually written off to discovery of purpose which is in most cases correct but in more complicated cases where purpose is known and frustration alongside its vices still occur, a underlying problem of location. Put in simple words, not every Christian is called to be a Pastor (by this I mean a minister of the word, heading a church) but permit to insist that every Christian has a pulpit. In other words not every Christian can affect their world or carry out the great commission from a church stage but every Christian should definitely and most certainly preach the message of Christ.

This should sound absurd or outlandish to a few but on a lighter note, just what if it were so and somehow a whole country came to the knowledge of Christ, accepted Him and surrendered to His love with a burning zeal to achieve the great commission?
I’m all too sure the economic meltdown in that country would hit a record breaking all time low. This would evidently be because everybody was out building some church maybe in another country and it ain’t gonna be pretty.*just saying*

In contemporary times, a normal church setting would have the chairs for the congregation to sit, the instruments and then the stage where the pulpit may or may not stand. It is from this point of leadership and authority that anointing and control should flow to the church. It is also from this point that the minister (in word, song or otherwise) ministers from. I can hence conclude; The pulpit is to the minister as the throne is to the king. Having made this clear I’d like to restate my bordering claim

Not every Christian is called to be a pastor but all Christians have a pulpit

This understanding I got does not counter the truth of the great commission but it points out a fundamental problem in the Christian community. (let me explain!)
Yes we may have discovered our talents and yes we know we are to use them to glorify God’s name and preach the gospel and transform our world but all too quickly we run to Church and start working earnestly assuming it most definitely is our place of assignment.
This is not a bad decision but in too many cases it is not the right decision so listen up believers!

I love your zeal for the Lord’s work and I just want to let you know that at the point you met Christ, a process began in you, more like a fire from your insides and that fire has a hilltop where it should burn and light the world even brighter. For a fact, That fire in you has a pulpit.

So you have a pulpit, a place of assignment! The instructions in the great commission are quite the same for every born again Christian but the location does differ.
Your location is your hilltop, it is where you shine the brightest and it is where you’ll get the greatest satisfaction, your hilltop is your pulpit. Please note that when I say location I am not just referring to a geographical location but your pulpit can be anywhere, anything or even any means from which you operate your natural gifting for maximum impact and God’s glory. So your pulpit might just be a pen and some sheets or a perfectly tuned 6-stringed instrument. Your pulpit may be a science laboratory, the backsides of a camera, the congress hall of politics or even a sports field. Your pulpit could also be your amazing vocals or a simple paintbrush, a palette of colors and a canvas: the complete trio. Your pulpit could be anywhere and it could be in a church.

No more stereotypes Christians

It is very important to find your calling yet it is as well necessary to find the place of your manifestation (your pulpit) cos you know what?
The creatures-the pens, the microphones, the landscapes, the clay, the musical instruments, the chemical elements, the computer programmes, the economy, the earth- are waiting for your manifestation.

Shalom!

WWF:Finishing Strong In Thoughtfulness

WWF3.jpg

Understand this: Your finishing strong in every aspect of life, and ultimately in the heavenly journey, is dependent on how positively thoughtful you are. Some people are only negatively thoughtful.

Generally in life, you can’t rise above your thinking-capacity development.
Proverbs 23:7, 28:19, 4:23, 2:10-17 (emphasis on verses 16&17)

Remember, thorough thinking in line with the Word of God brings you into a deep understanding, and thereby produces you with wisdom to guide you through life’s adventures.
-Even in the academic world, a student that is not deeply thoughtful academically can’t be excellent, nor ultimately finish strong academically.
Read Deuteronomy 32:29 again.

Other things thoughtfulness does:
-It brings one into moderacy and humility.
-It helps one cut off extremes of all kinds. 2 Peter 3:8-14
-It helps one retain God’s fear always. Proverbs 2:16. (The woman being referred to here forgets her covenant -fear- of her God, because she is not thoughtful.)
Joseph was a very thoughtful man, the reason why he was able to escape lying with Portiphar’s wife. Joseph said, ‘… how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Genesis 39:9. That’s a thoughtful fellow indeed!

Brethren, let’s learn to be deeply thoughtful in the Lord. That we may constantly retain God’s fear all the days of our life, both in our hearts and minds, and before our faces, as to make our finishing strong in every aspect of life a reality. The Psalmist says, “Thy word have hid in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee.” Psalm 119:11.

And remember, when we walk in sync with the Holy Spirit, He helps us to be thoughtful in line with God’s Word and brings into our remembrance every word we need to help us constantly enjoy the best of God in our heavenly race. John 14:26.
So, basically, to be thoroughly thoughtful we only need to recognize the Person of the Holy Spirit, and keep a deep fellowship with Him always.

Now unto Him that is able to keep us from falling, and to present us faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

EXCERPTS OF THE TEACHING: THE ZOE, INFLUENCE CONVENTION 2014 AT SCHOOL OF IMPACT, 28TH SEPTEMBER 2014.

life eternal is actually quite simpler than we ever thought

EXCERPTS OF THE TEACHING: THE ZOE, INFLUENCE CONVENTION 2014 AT SCHOOL OF IMPACT, 28TH SEPTEMBER 2014.

The message commenced with Pst. Segun explaining that there are three (3) basic words in the Greek used to describe life:

Bios – used to describe man’s physical activities and processes (Lk. 8:14).

Psuche – used to describe man’s psyche (psychological make-up) (Mk. 14:34).

Zoe – The description of a class of life. The word Zoe is not a Christian word, but soon adopted in Christians to explain a class of style. (James 4:13-14).

(Luke 16:24&25) Anytime you use Zoe, you are referring to a life where you receive good things. In Zoe are good things. Zoe is used to refer to a class of life that is beyond the common biological level. (John. 10:10). Zoe therefore, is used to describe a noble life, an excellent difference.

(James 3:13) Zoe can be temporal or…
