(Street Credibility)

It happened that, regrettably,  the Christ-figure has been made to look a concept that only trend on Sundays/Christmas seasons; in chapels and cathedrals. So, all expressions in synch with that concept solemnly falls in place on those days; oh my!

“Mehn! Service was awesome. Felt like I got a room in heaven! Jesus is Lord! Amen, already!”

Christmas day lines could have been like;

“Nah-Nah, not today! C’mon,  it’s Jesus’ day… Respects! ”

After which, we switch connections; so erratic! Monday to TGIF makes no God-sense. It’s business as usual; it’s our life to groove; we’d make it up to God (probably).

Our dress sense;
Our Conversations;
Our thoughts;
Our engagements/business deals;

How much of consistency do they potray?

John 1: 14.
The Word became flesh and blood,
and moved into the neighbourhood…”

He didn’t just stay cool in Church to revert in the hoods.

He didn’t live a clueless life awaiting the Pastor’s rhema per Sunday.

John 1:4.
“In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.”

It’s been guys. Enough of the chameleonic stance. It’s not just the DAY of the LORD. It’s EVERYDAY of the LORD. Representation is proffered in the “non” context. You see the need, then you arise in defence.

All I see these days are “Churchies” and “Sun-dallies.” If we carried him into the chapel; did we leave him there? What about the hoods, the streets? They don’t need no Jesus?

It isn’t just MTN, everywhere we go;
We GLOw, everywhere we go.

Think about these things.

John 3:16.
 “For God had such love for the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever has faith in him may not come to destruction but have eternal life.”

Good morning friends and a great welcome, once again, to EVERYDAY JESUS. Yea, I got started,somehow; so kindly read me out. Thanks.

The bible said something; I also want to say something, not different.

Then,I saw this somewhere, yesterday and couldn’t help but copy it;

“When someone else’s happiness is your happiness;  That is True Love.”

Finally, God knew HIS satisfaction lay in our satisfaction and rest from all our cares,worries and seemingly endless soul search and wondering. Our possession of the bliss, -eternal life, couldn’t make Him more happier. He, so much, desired our happiness that He Gave HIS only son… This wasn’t a fanfare for Him. This was the pouring out of His life for our sake… It cost him a  dear life; blood was split.

Hebrews 2:10
“It makes good sense that the God who got everything started and keeps everything going now completes the work by making the Salvation Pioneer perfect through suffering as he leads all these people to glory.”

Our glorification was HIS priority
Somewhere in Jeremiah HE swore;

“I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.”(Jeremiah 30:19).

So, we have a lot to learn from our father, friends. Everyday of our lives unveils deeper mysteries into HIS awesome personality.

As we steady our gaze and learning slates on Jesus; our faces shine brighter and brighter, as we are transformed to his likeness.

God bless y’all.

I listened to a Song by Lecrae(Rebel album ), entitled, “Fall Back”. Trust me, that song has a whole lot to posit. Here;

I know you might have seen it on the TV
You hear it on the radio and CD(fall back)
But you can be deceived pretty easy
Believe me… you might wanna (fall back)
The enemy’s crafty and misleading
That’s why I use the word of God to Lead me
And I ain’t eating everything they feed me
Tryna deceive me…so I gotta fall back

[Verse 1: Lecrae]
Lies in them songs lies on television
No telling what lies on the television
Learned sarcasm, sexism, racism
Learned to worship money cars
Learned to hate Christians
All the Christians in the movies so typical
Alcoholic, child molesting, hypocritical and mystical
They say since everyone is doing it it’s normal
But Jesus says be transformed and don’t let them conform you
You ain’t thin enough you need diet
You need a psychic everybody does it you should try it
Spring break hit the beach what you s’posed to do?
Be careful what you let the media impose on you
You learned how to find peace from TV shows
You learned how to ride clean from them videos
In 30 seconds a commercial have you mixed up
(call now and we can have your whole life fixed up)

[Verse 2: Trip Lee]
These days if you watch the, box you should block your
Mind in these times, and them lies that could lock you
They telling girls in our world to be hot stuff
And telling dudes link with crews on the block tough
Plus I’m feeling like they mock us
They think that God is old school like a box cut
But I’m sure that His flock’s tough
And we can judge what is bug, and live pleasing in His sight when the clock’s up
I hope we gazing through His lens with eyes
So we can defend what it is when we get they lies
Its on that cash that they fix they mind
Man they always saying cheese like its picture time (be easy)
Tell em cool it with the mind games
I’m chasing Christ, I’m renewed in my mind frame
And removed from them tired games
Then say my life it ain’t mine man
We must remove the damaged parts like a tire change

[Verse 3: Lecrae]
Be rebel let the word of God lead you
Satan uses media to tempt you and deceive you
He will lead ya leach ya leave ya
So be careful as you navigate thru media
Take heed for gravity get the best of you
And you find the concrete bench pressing you
Use the word of God to help filter all that
Before you fall into the trap you better fall back

[Verse 4: Trip Lee]
You know what I call that? I call that maturity
Learning how to fall back so you can live in purity
Learning how to walk that and saying them you ain’t luring me
The media is meeting us with lies but He’s curing me (be easy)
I know them guys trying to hype you
But cling to the Lord’s Word, flee from them vipers
We spitting aiming at your heart like snipers
We’d like for you to desire God like Piper

That’s just it, Friend.. IT’S MATURITY WHEN YOU LEARN TO FALL BACK,even when you’re Falling . For we have a foundation, already laid. God is the standard, so we don’t let the mould of the world’s system put us comfortably into their fix.

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”

God desires that all day long of our lived, that we be fit to stand before HIM. Malachi 3:2 says,

“But who will be able to stand up to that coming? Who can survive his appearance?”

EVERYDAY of Jesus guarantees our Right standing with God. He is God’s righteousness. And;

“He’ll be like white-hot fire from the smelter’s furnace. He’ll be like the strongest lye soap at the laundry. He’ll take his place as a refiner of silver, as a cleanser of dirty clothes. He’ll scrub the Levite priests clean, refine them like gold and silver, until they’re fit for God, fit to present offerings of righteousness. Then, and only then, will Judah and Jerusalem be fit and pleasing to God, as they used to be in the years long ago.”

Let’s keep Falling Back, Friends.
JESUS, Everyday.

I apologize for the long break between Day #1 and Day #2. By Grace,  I’d be running on a 12hour time frame to get even.

So, it’s still EVERYDAY JESUS, and we’d be journeying through the Scriptures. Let’s get down to a personal note, parole. Here we go!

“Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. I didn’t want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ—God’s righteousness. I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know Christ personally…”(Philippians 3:7-11)

Now, this where we either say Goodbye or Stay Put. Funny enough, most of us are cool with hearsays about some personalities, rather than getting to know them personally. Most of us don’t even get to know them superficially, yet. But that’s not in the PLAN. The plan is a one-on-one rapport; a romantic date, kinda. E. W. Kenyon calls it, “a romance in redemption “. So, we get so much into Grace, savoring every bit.

The knowledge of God is Love. He is Love. So, knowing God is to Loving. He already did that for us. The means he chose to identify and know us was to Love us.

“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son.”(John 3::16)

Therefore, in appreciation,

“Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.”(Romans 12:2).

Jesus is the expression of God, and Christ in us is God’s righteousness, resident.

“Whatever it is that you do for these ones, you, also have done unto me”.

Therefore, friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God.

My dear, dear friends, if God loved us like this, we certainly ought to love each other. No one has seen God, ever. But if we love one another, God dwells deeply within us, and his love becomes complete in us—perfect love!
This is how we know we’re living steadily and deeply in him, and he in us: He’s given us life from his life, from his very own Spirit. Also, we’ve seen for ourselves and continue to state openly that the Father sent his Son as Savior of the world. Everyone who confesses that Jesus is God’s Son participates continuously in an intimate relationship with God. We know it so well, we’ve embraced it heart and soul, this love that comes from God.

God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love.
We, though, are going to love—love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.

If anyone boasts, “I love God,” and goes right on hating his brother or sister, thinking nothing of it, he is a liar. If he won’t love the person he can see, how can he love the God he can’t see? The command we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You’ve got to love both.( 1 John 4:7, 11, 13, 17, 19-20).

To be continued “.

“…Do whatever He tells you to”
(John 2:5)

Good Evening Friends. It’s EVERYDAY JESUS, yet again and ALWAYS. I’d be telling us a short story. Stay put, please!

I was on transit, sometimes ago; I passed something that made a remembrance run across my mind. It had the face of a dear friend form a persistent vision in the lenses of my mind. Then I heard it clearly, “Pray for Him”. It was clear, but sincerely, I had no drive, even to pray in the Holy Ghost, probably due to the pretty bad outing I just had.

Still in that dilema, I saw something like a trance; a horrid motion picture of something dreadful happening at this same friend’s workplace.

I got gripped by fear. I rushed for my mobile, dialed his phone number, and OOOOOPS!; not reachable! Then the tension came calling, plus fear and worry. My mind racing as in a flash, exploring all the possible propensities to the hurt that may befall him.

NOTE: If you’d notice, my options now, were void of GOD’S WILL or what he’d have had me do.

I was in that confused state till my phone rang; and my ringtone was a great spirit-filled reminder,- “Lecrae’s All I Need is You….”. I silenced the phone’s volume, upon the dawning that swept over me( don’t ask me if I picked the call).

All I really needed wasn’t all of the doses of those anti-Christ(s),- the fear, tension, worry, etc. If I had “done what He had told me to”, all other shows wouldn’t have been called for. What He asked me to do was so simple, less stressful. But I bounced off. And guess what, the adversary proffered a negative film. He almost gave me a Prayer point(sorry, worrying point). Praying from a fearful, disobedient heart wouldn’t have pleased God.

“… And by granting us the privilege of serving God fearlessly, freed from our enemies…” Luke 1:2.
That was the plan. That is still the plan.

A times, we get spiritual heads-up on issues of great exigencies and we blow it all up. What else would you have needed to be convinced of the leading or inspiration? Those heads-up coming up time after time, are our thoughts in Christ; coming from the inside of us, because Christ is indwelling us.

Maybe, we needed a mega voice; of a mighty Man of God from Wherever to come with a resonating, prophetic declaration of “What God would have us do”, even in the minute details of our lives.
That’s way far from how God relates with us. We’re Good ; God and I. I am a friend of Jesus(you could echo that). Don’t even bother asking, “who am I that He’s mindful of me?”. Anyways, I’d tell you.

“For it Pleased the God-head to bodily dwell in Jesus, the Christ”.

“And Christ in us, ushers us into a glorious hope and inheritance,- the God Head, also dwells bodily in us. Inferentially, all of me is All of God”.
Again, all our renewed thoughts are His Biddings. Don’t Hesitate. No room for Anti-Christ(s). Fear, contention and disobedience to the Spirit’s leadings are far from Jesus.

I’d Say Yes, Jesus… I’d Say Yes.
To your Will, Lord, I’d Say Yes.
Where you Lead me, I’d go.
I’d Say Yes, Jesus… I’d say Yes.
No Room for ANTI-CHRIST(s).

“To be continued Tomorrow”.

KEY TEXT: Philipians 2:5.

“think of yourself, the way Christ thought of Himself…”

Here is the basic; our thoughts generates into actions; our actions become who we are/ turn out to be. I love the way ESV puts this:

“have this mind among yourselves, WHICH IS YOURS IN CHRIST JESUS”.

So, what I’m talking about ain’t some products of “metamorphosis”; we’re going all the way back to default settings(the WAY it should be).

“Living out our thoughts in Christ”.

So, friends, it’s EVERYDAY JESUS, yet again, starting from…

“DAY 1”

I live a life;
Pretty beautiful, no strife;
Each step taken with the rolling day;
There is something about the WAY!

I try to think of why;
I feel my senses going all dry;
I find rest in the gaze,of a radiant ray;
That’s the WAY!

I walk through the path;
Circumspectly, living up the pact;
Ask me why; don’t know whatta say;
I’ll just keep walking in the WAY.

We’re no victims of accidents;
A makeshift?
That’s a punch on His face;
We’re products of Providence;
Divinely, given a lift.
We rest on the anchor of GRACE;
