The Christ A Poet Team consists of a group of very talented writers who have one major goal: to preach Christ and all the joys associated with His love in a way quite different from the norm but not neglecting the principal message.

Since the death of our Lord Jesus Christ and the onset of the flow of the Holy Spirit, the body of Christ popularly known as the Church has been given one duty among the abundance of blessings we obtain in Christ Jesus. This duty also called, The Great Commission, is very much encapsulated in the last speeches of Jesus as entailed in the gospels (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-19, Luke 24:47-49 and John 21:15-19). The most intriguing of these accounts however, was by John in which we see Jesus repeatedly asking Peter to “…feed my lambs…” This is in itself a very representative speech in that the lamb spoken of is symbolic of the church and in fact the world in general. Also, the food spoken doesn’t represent our day-to-day nutritional diets and dishes but the very word of God as is made revealed unto us in the written word and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

In our modern world with the help of the Holy Spirit this food has been dished out in so many variations such that the body of Christ neither lacks nor does she get bored of this very necessary feeding. These include: Preaching and teaching of the word, Music, Dance, Literature, Science, Technology etc. The scriptures clearly affirm the duty of a believer in bearing worthy fruits for the kingdom (John 15:1-6) and it also shows us how in Matthew 25:15-29: by making use of talents God has bestowed us with.

It is based on this singular ultimate calling that the Christ A Poet team was founded upon. With a general vision of preaching Christ to the world the CAP Team has a heart for making known the mind of Christ through the talents God has so generously given us: LITERATURE. However in our present day, literary appreciation is at an all-time low as other entertainment avenues gain widespread acceptance. This may be seen as a setback for writers and also preaching the gospel through this avenue but truth is in places not many see, there are still some readers and researchers seeking the truth within the paragraphs and pages of books and internet literature. It is for this sole purpose the Christ-A-Poet Team is dedicated to provide soul-lifting and inspiring literature basically based on biblical principles and the spread of the gospel of the love of Jesus, the saving grace He offers and all the joys obtainable in Him.

The Christ A Poet vision is embodied in the first public speech of Jesus which is also stated in the writings of Isaiah the 61st chapter from the first to the third verse:

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified.

WHO ARE WE?
The Christ A Poet Team is a team of writers, and non-writers, with a passion for two basic things: God and Literature.

“If Christ was to be here, and he was to be a poet, what would he look like?”

*We are our present day voices in the wilderness, preaching the gospel through the realm of literature.

*We present a stage for the propagation of gospel literature.
